Thomas Heber “Tom” Burbage Sr. | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Thomas Heber "Tom" Burbage, Sr., age 64, a resident of Washington, NC passed on to be with the Lord on Thursday April 17, 2025, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

    A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 23, 2025, at St. Clairs Church of Christ officiated by Craig Hagen. A burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

    Tom was born in Brunswick, GA on June 30, 1960, son of the late James Talmadge "Jim" Burbage, Sr. and Mary "Fran" Burbage who survives. He attended Bath High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. On February 14, 1978, he married the former Darla Jean Ross who survives. Tom was currently a welder at Camfil Inc. in Washington, a trade passed down to him from his father. He dearly loved fishing, his grandkids, stock car racing, and politics. Tom was a member of St. Clairs Church of Christ where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.

    Surviving along with his wife: Darla of the home are his children: Thomas Burbage, Jr. (Jaime) of Washington, Adam Ross Burbage (Rica) of Winterville, and Hailey Victoria Burbage of Washington; brother: Don Burbage of Bath, and grandchildren: Landon Burbage, Camden Burbage, Brynlee Lynch, and Parker Kenney. Tom was predeceased, along with his father, by a brother: Jimmy T. Burbage, Jr.; sister: Barbara B. Paul; brother-in-law: Jerry Burbage Paul; and sister-in-law: Doris Burbage.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 22, 2025, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
