Sylvia Ann Cutler Hill | Eastern NC Now

    Sylvia Ann Cutler Hill, age 82, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday April 27, 2025 at her home.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday May 3, 2025 at Haw Branch Church Cemetery in Chocowinity and will be officiated by Eddie Gurganus.

    The family will receive friends from 6:30PM until 8:30PM Friday May 2, 2025 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Mrs. Hill was born in Beaufort County on August 18, 1942 to the late Wilber Earl Cutler and Nellie Congleton Cutler. She was a 1960 graduate of Bath High School. On December 10, 1967 she married Ted Wilson Hill who survives. Ted and Sylvia lived in Virginia and Maryland before retiring and returning to Washington, NC. Mrs. Hill worked as a Residential Mortgage Loan Closer. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was a member of Woodards Pond Church of Christ.

    In addition to her husband, Ted W. Hill, survivors include her daughter, Susan Hill of Baltimore, MD, her son, Todd Hill of Haddon, NJ, and four grandchildren, BrendanWeaver, Sarah Hill, Carolyn Hill and Olivia Hill.

    She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Terry Wayne Cutler, Edward Earl Cutler, and three sisters, Lorina C. Modlin, Nellie Mae C. Cutler, and Janie C. Smith.
