Michael Dean Blackman | Eastern NC Now

    Michael Dean Blackman, age 66, beloved husband, son, devoted father and grandfather, passed at his home on June 6, 2025 in Beaufort County.

    Mike was born May 31, 1959 in West Point, New York. His parents, Raymond and Barbara Shepherd Blackman reside in Willow Spring, NC.

    Surviving is his beloved wife of 44 years, Vicki Moore Blackman; two sons, Noah Blackman, Zachary Blackman (Rebekah) and grandsons, Caleb Blackman, Jared Blackman; sisters, Jeanne Poe (Daryl) of Fuquay Varina, Tina Burden (Timothy) of Raleigh, and a brother, Mark Blackman (Susan) of Clayton, adored nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Sandra Moore (Bud), and Amy Warren (Michael Jon)

    Mike was a talented vocalist and loved to sing. He loved his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Mike was always a happy and funny playmate. He loved being his boys and grandchildren's biggest fan at their ball games. Mike laughed often and loved his family dearly.

    In honoring Mike's wishes and the family's request for a more intimate gathering, the memorial service will be reserved for close family and friends at 2:00 PM Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Tranters Creek Church of Christ and will be officiated by Chuck Beasley.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service at Tranters Creek Church of Christ.
