ICE arrests half of food plant workforce; Americans rush to fill those vacant jobs | Eastern NC Now

illegal aliens are displacing American workers, need to go home

ENCNow

The Open Borders advocates claims about "jobs Americans won't do" and economic damage from rounding up illegal aliens and sending them home has just been disproved by the consequences of an ICE raid on a food packaging plant in Nebraska.  ICE arrested over half of the employees of Glenn Valley Foods, many of whom had fooled e-verify with stolen identities and forged papers.  The plant was targeted because ICE was tipped off about a large scale operation of false identities there.

What happened next was telling.  American citizens flooded the plant applying for the jobs of the departed illegal aliens.  The employment office at Glenn Valley Foods was jammed with Americans seeking those now vacant position.  Within days, the workforce was back up to full strength, but this time with real Americans, not illegal aliens.

Economic exploitation of the United States by foreign countries is a key factor in illegal immigration.  They use it as a safety valve for their own unemployment and get rich off of remittances.  That is one reason there is now a push in Congress to tax those remittances sent home by foreigners working in the US.  Plus, of course, some of those remittances are being sent to pay human smuggling debts to crime cartels.

Florida discovered the same thing. When they cracked down on illegal aliens working and many left the state, the left claimed that their tourism and agriculture industries would be devastated. Not so. Both are going strong without the illegal aliens and thriving.
