For first time in four years, cost of July 4th cookout does not increase from prior year | Eastern NC Now

in fact, it goes DOWN slightly

ENCNow

For each holiday meal, from Christmas dinner to July 4th cookouts, the US Farm Bureau calculates the average cost of the typical meal from year to year.  Under all four years of Biden, the costs of all of them, including the July 4th cookout, always increased year over year.

The first holiday meal to be calculated in the second Trump presidency, the July 4th cookout, has broken with that trend.  Not only did it not increase this year, but it went DOWN slightly.  The Farm Bureau calculates that a typical July 4th cookout for 10 guests this year will cost $70.92, a DECREASE of 30 cents from last year.  In 2019 in the first Trump administration it was $52.80.

And if one is driving somewhere for the Fourth, gas prices have now also hit a four year low under Trump.
