Trump White House Promises Massive Economic Growth In Final Push To Pass The ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ | Eastern NC Now

    WASHINGTON     President Donald Trump and his team are racing to get the "One Big Beautiful Bill" on the president's desk, pushing a message of economic growth in these final days.

    "Nobody wants to talk about GROWTH, which will be the primary reason that the Big, Beautiful Bill will be one of the most successful pieces of legislation ever passed," the president said in a Wednesday morning Truth Social post. "THIS GROWTH has already begun at levels never seen before. Trillions of Dollars are now being invested into the USA, more than ever before."

    "Likewise," he added, "hundreds of Billions of Dollars in Tariffs are filling up the coffers of Treasury. The Tariff money has already arrived and is setting new records! We are growing our way out of the Sleepy Joe Biden MESS that he and the Democrats left us, and it is happening much faster than anyone thought possible."

    Trump promised Wednesday that the United States will "make a fortune this year," but only if the reconciliation bill is passed.

    "As they say, Trump's been right about everything, and this is the easiest of them all to predict," the president concluded. "Republicans, don't let the Radical Left Democrats push you around. We've got all the cards, and we are going to use them. Last year America was a 'DEAD' Nation, with no hope for the future, and now it's the 'HOTTEST NATION IN THE WORLD!' MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

    The administration is also pushing back against the Congressional Budget Office, which argues that the bill would add trillions to U.S. deficits. The White House says that the CBO score doesn't paint the full picture.

    "The CBO score is not designed to be a total picture of where the deficit is going over coming years," Stephen Miran, the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, told The Daily Wire on Wednesday. "It's designed to help Congress pass legislation through the very specific process of reconciliation, and, therefore, it corresponds to the very specific and complicated rules of that system."

    Miran explained that it excludes the better economic growth that the "One Big Beautiful Bill" would provide, together with the president's other policies. Focusing solely on that CBO score is misleading, he said, calling it a "summation of individual provisions."

    "The CBO has a very small conception of how much additional economic growth there will be as a result of this, and it really undercounts them, and it has undercounted them in the past, too," he added, arguing that the CBO score "ignores lots of sources of deficit reduction that are just not part of the scoring process."


    The Republican-led Senate narrowly passed the "One Big Beautiful Bill" on Tuesday with the help of Vice President JD Vance, who cast the tie-breaking vote. The vote ignited hope that the bill will get to Trump's desk by the Fourth of July. Heavily bolstered by the president, it is possible that this could happen.

    "THE ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL DEAL IS ALL ABOUT GROWTH," Trump posted Wednesday morning. "IF PASSED, AMERICA WILL HAVE AN ECONOMIC RENAISSANCE LIKE NEVER BEFORE."
