    Mrs. Lucille Mills Woolard, age 88, a resident of 914 Everett Community Rd., Pinetown, NC died Sunday October 6, 2013 at River Trace Nursing Center of Washington.

    An interment will take place at 4 PM Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington. A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Tuesday at Woodard's Pond Church of Christ officiated by Sarge Woolard and Skipp Hurley.

    Mrs. Woolard was born in Pitt County on September 14, 1925 daughter of the late Jim Jonas Mills and Nettie Mills. She married Warren Loscar Woolard who preceded her in death on June 7, 1971. After her husband's death she enjoyed a companionship with Linwood E. Smith who preceded her in death on July 18, 1990. Mrs. Woolard was a seamstress working at the Sampson Shirt Factory until her retirement at age 65. Following her first retirement she worked as a sales clerk at Eckerd Drug Store of Washington where she retired at age of 80. She was a member of Woodard's Pond Church of Christ.

    Survivors include a daughter Patricia Cutler and her husband Bill and their children Donna Linton and Eric Cutler all of Bath, a son Warren G. "Sarge" Woolard and his wife Patsy and their children Jeremy Woolard and his wife Mindy all of Washington and Renae McRoy and her husband Eugene of Blounts Creek, a daughter Sarah Smiley and her husband Jack and their son Michael Smiley and his wife Melissa all of Pinetown, the children of Linwood Smith, Jessie Smith and his wife Julie of Washington and their children Sharon Smith of Bridgeton and Shelia Elliott of Statesville, and great grandchildren Eric and Olivia Roughton, Carter Smiley, Hayley and Trent Linton and Kelsey and Blaney McRoy.

    The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Woolard's daughter, Sarah Smiley, located at 914 Everett Community Rd., Pinetown, NC.
