Slovakia defies EU and enshrines 2 genders, male and female, in Constitution | Eastern NC Now

In defiance of the globalist agenda of the European Union, Slovakia has amended its Constitution to provide that there are only two genders, biologically defined male and female, and defined marriage and parenthood in biological terms.  The amendment also strengthened parental rights in schools.  Further, it asserted that in matters of "value, ethical, and cultural issues" national law overrides EU law.

The amendment was proposed by the Christian Democratic Party, a partner in the coalition government led by the populist nationalist Smer Party.  The coalition lacked the votes for the supermajority to amend the Constitution but that was solved when two opposition members of parliament broke ranks and supported the amendment.
