Oklahoma finds 1/4 of truck drivers are illegal aliens in license check | Eastern NC Now

Driving an 18 wheeler commercial truck is a well paid job and certainly not one that "Americans won't do".  Yet apparently many trucking companies are cutting corners by putting unqualified illegal aliens behind the wheel of these huge trucks and turning them loose on the highways.

Oklahoma's governor took action on this issue by directing the highway patrol to conduct license checks of truckers at a weigh station entering the state over a three day period.  Of the 520 trucks that passed through the license check, over 120 of them turned out to be driven by illegal aliens.  ICE, which was cooperating in the project took them into custody.

The Commercial Drivers Licenses produced by the illegal aliens also raised questions as being unverifiable.  Some were simply expired.  Many had less than a full name.  One, issued by New York, and confirmed to be genuine, was issued simply to "No Name Given".

The issue of unqualified illegal aliens driving trucks on American highways came to a head when an illegal alien truck driver with a California CDL made an unlawful u-turn on a Florida freeway, killing three Americans.  Florida is now assisting ICE in targeting truck stops for immigration enforcement.

It is not just deaths that have resulted but also horrific injuries caused by these unqualified illegal alien truck driver, like a California 5 year old left with severe permanent injuries caused by an unqualified illegal alien truck driver in an 18 wheeler.
