    Janice Woolard Hellickson entered into rest on November 11, 2025.

    Celebration of life will be at Beaver Dam Church of Christ Friday, 14th. Visitation at 1pm, service starts at 2pm.

    Janice began her life on Earth January 19, 1938. She was born in Washington, NC to loving parents, Leamon and Callie Woolard. She grew up on the family farm down Slatestone Road in Beaufort County. Janice moved away after high school and retired following a full career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation; working in both the Washington D.C. and Minneapolis field offices. Loved by all, cherished by everyone who had the privilege to know her; Janice will be celebrated for generations to come.

    She is survived by her devoted son, Lew Hellickson. Her sister, Gail Alligood, preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Carl Alligood. Sister-in-Law, Donna Woolard, preceded in death by her brother, Steve Woolard. Nieces and nephews: Carla Mitchell, Nancy Wallace, Lou Montana-Rhodes, and Ray Waters. She is blessed to have many beloved great nieces, nephews, and cousins. The Woolard Family is large and loving; Janice drew her strength from us and us from her.

    We would like to thank the nurses and staff of Ridgewood for loving her well. We would like to thank ECU Health-Beaufort for loving our community well.
