    Harry Charles Buck, age 70, a resident of Chandler Rd., Vanceboro, NC, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013.

    There will be a graveside celebration of his life at 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Haw Branch Church of Christ Cemetery officiated by Jason Kirkman. Troy Buck, Eric Buck, Alvin Morgan, Joseph Willis, Dennis McLawhorn and Glen Nobles will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at Hillside Funeral Service and travel in procession to the cemetery. They will also receive friends at his home.

    Harry was born December 27, 1942 in Craven County son of the late Henry Paul Buck and the late Vesta Oleta Williams Buck. He was a self-employed carpenter. Harry was an avid hunter and loved animals; especially his beloved dog "BJ". He lived in Vanceboro his entire life and a member of Haw Branch Church of Christ.

    He is survived by his son, Troy Buck and wife Tammy of New Bern; his daughter, Rhonda Morgan and husband Alvin of New Bern; his brother, Danny Buck and wife Janice of Wilmar; his sister, Donna McLawhorn of Wilmar; and his grandchildren, Eric Buck and wife Amber and Joseph Willis and wife Nichole both of New Bern.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Buck and Jesse Buck.

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
