CA Gov. Newsome tries to keep dangerous illegal alien truck drivers on the road | Eastern NC Now

unqualified illegal alien drivers who can't speak or read English are causing crashes

ENCNow

There have been a spate of truck crashes around the country involving illegal aliens with Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs) issued by Democrat states in spite of the driver being in the country illegally and not being able to speak or read English. The Trump administration is working to crack down on this practice that endangers American motorists.

California has been a hotbet of issuing these CDLs and of the Trump administration's response.  It has also been sued by the state of Florida over Floridians killed by an illegal alien truck driver on a Florida highway who had a California CDL.

In the latest on this controversy, illegal aliens with these CDLs are suing California trying to keep those licenses, hoping to get a radical partisan judge who will abuse his power to try to set policy.  California Governor Newsome has declared an extension of the licenses claiming he has a waiver to do so from the federal government.  Transportation Secretary Duffy has responded that there is no such waiver, the deadline is January 6 to revoke those CDL's and that if California does not do so, Duffy will cut off their highway funds.
