School district forced to pay up to parent for secretly transitioning her daughter | Eastern NC Now

could this happen in our county?

ENCNow

The Dover Area School District in Pennsylvania had settled a lawsuit from a parent by paying financial compensation to the parent for secretly socially transitioning their vulnerable daughter at school to a male identity.  The amount of the settlement was not disclosed, as they often are not when lawsuits are settled.

The daughter, a middle school student, was allowed to go by the name of Caleb and use male pronouns, all without permission of the girl's mother.  Fortunately, no drugs or surgery were attempted and it only went as far as social transitioning.

The girl's mother only learned of what the school district was doing when a teacher asked the girl's brother how "your brother Caleb is doing" and the boy replied that he did not have a brother Caleb.  The teacher then explained it was actually his sister now being called Caleb..  The brother reported it to the girl's mother and she sued in federal court.  The school district's motions to dismiss were denied by the court, and the school system waved a white flag and settled.

I'm glad she won even though those that abused this child are not the ones paying but the taxpayer are.
Are those that did this still in in the school? If so WHY?
Why aren't people being charged with child abuse and going to jail?
