Mrs. Annie Mae Lancaster Morgan, a former longtime Washington, NC resident and a current resident of Spring Arbor Assisted Living of Greenville, age 101, passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026.

    Mrs. Annie Mae Lancaster Morgan, a former longtime Washington, NC resident and a current resident of Spring Arbor Assisted Living of Greenville, age 101, passed away on Saturday January 31, 2026.

    Mrs. Morgan was born in Beaufort County on July 2, 1924, and grew up on Charlotte Street. She graduated from the old 2nd Street Washington High School and later married Robert J. Morgan, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1979. She had several siblings who have all preceded her in death as well. She is survived by her only son: Joe Morgan and his wife Sue of Huntsville, AL. She has five grandchildren and one great grandson.

    Mrs. Morgan had a fulfilling life that included many friends and relatives. She always had a smile even after having to go into assisted living! She was a long-time Avon Representative, member of the Grange, as well as a fourteen-year member of the Beaufort County Board of Elections. She was also a former World Book Encyclopedia sales representative as well as former Carolina Telephone sales representative. She was a member of First Church of Christ of Washington.

    A private graveside service for family and extended family will be held at a future time.
