Georgia legislature passes bill requiring hand-marked election ballots | Eastern NC Now

win for election intergrity

ENCNow

In a big win for election integrity, both houses of the Georgia legislature have now passed a bill requiring that voters hand-mark their election ballots in the state.  The change is effective in November 2026.  This will prevent use of some of the controversial computer based voting systems that have been very controversial in past Georgia elections.  There is a very close US Senate race coming up this year in Georgia, so this will help keep that ;honest.

While Beaufort County has always used hand marked election ballots, there are some counties in the state that use systems that are now outlawed in Georgia.
