Duke Energy's wind & solar obsession gets NC electric customesr another rate increase - 18% | Eastern NC Now

Back when crooked state senate boss Phil Berger totally rewrote HB951 to Duke Energy's specifications in a corrupt pay-for-play deal, to set requirements for more wind and solar electricity, which is unreliable and expensive and less coal, which is cheap and dependable, conservatives warned it would raise power bills for consumers.  The bill even contained provisions that made it easier for "woke" energy monopoly Duke Energy to raise its rates to consumbers.

Duke Energy quickly used its new power and raised rates.  Now it is at it again with a massive 18% rate increase.  They openly admit that the higher cost of wind and solar, as well as grid costs for wind and solar are part of the reason.

While President Trump is working hard to rein in the wind and solar boondoggle, liberal Democrats and RINOs are still pushing it..  Duke Energy itself is handing out grants to a few selected small businesses to try to take the stink off what they are doing.
