    Naomi Glynn Stevenson Holliday, age 90, a resident if Washington and formerly of Martin County, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church, Williamston, NC with Rev. Doug Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the church and other times at the home of her daughter Angela Clark, 1064 N. Grimesland Bridge Road, Washington, NC.

    Glynn was born on March 16, 1936, in Martin County, to the late Elmer Corneilus Stevenson and Malena L. Coburn Stevenson. She was a 1954 graduate of Oak City High School and a 1975 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in education. Glynn was a teacher from 1976-1998, retiring after 22 years. She taught at Everetts Elementary School, Robersonville Middle School, Rodgers Elementary School, and Farm Life Elementary School. Glynn attended Jamesville First Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She loved sewing, crocheting, painting, and her dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Holliday, her daughters, Emily Holliday Pauls and Susan Holliday Buck, son, James Dennis Holliday, sisters, Virginia Stevenson Perry (Jack), Rachel Stevenson Stallings (Allen), Doris Stevenson Jordan (Bob), brothers, E.C. "Buck" Stevenson, Jr., Paul L. Stevenson and David Stevenson.

    Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Holliday Arnold (Bill) of Roper, NC, Hope Holliday Harten (Bob) of Raleigh, NC and Angela Holliday Clark (Bobby) of Washington, NC, grandchildren, Will Arnold, Jennifer Arnold Hamner (Evan), Jesse Hedgepeth, Amanda Buck Fisher, Dillon Buck, Joseph Howerton (Katie) and Melana Howerton, great grandchildren, Kimberly Fisher, Morgan Arnold, Madison Arnold, Liam Arnold, Sofie Buck, Kayla Hedgepeth, Grace Hedgepeth, Zoe Hedgepeth, Jayden Hedgepeth, and Jayce Dylan Hedgepeth.
