    Donald Ray Chrismon, 68, of Bath, North Carolina, passed away on April 23, 2026.

    Born on August 23, 1957, he was the son of the late William Paul Chrismon and Lotta Dixon Chrismon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Earl Chrismon, Elwood Chrismon, Larry Chrismon, Dwight Chrismon, and Lloyd Chrismon.

    Don is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Chris Chrismon and wife Ellen, and Andy Moore and wife Inda; his stepsons, Reuben Bland and Justin Bland; his sister, Sandra Alligood of Washington, North Carolina; his sister-in-law, Mildred Chrismon of Washington, North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Maverick Chrismon, Reed Barkley, Jimmy Moore, Graylyn Moore, Lucas Bland, Waylon Bland and Landon Bland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Don spent his career as an industrial electrician with Texas Gulf, later known as PCS Phosphate and now Nutrien. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his many years of service.

    A kind and generous man, Don was devoted to his family and found his greatest joy in time spent with them. He enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, attending NASCAR races, and tractor pulls. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Beau.

    Don proudly served his community for many years as a volunteer firefighter with the Bath Fire Department, demonstrating his commitment to helping others and giving back to the community he called home.

    He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the love he had for his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

    A time for visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, NC. A memorial service will be held afterwards at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
