Authoritarian governments of Canada and Germany actively suppressing free speech | Eastern NC Now

Under the Biden regime, the US saw numerous attempts to suppress our free speech.  That ended when Trump returned to power.  But the process is ongoing where the left and / or globalists are in power.  What is happening now in Canada and Germany are good examples of that, and a cautionary tale as to why America should NEVER let the Democrats back in power.

In Canada, it goes far beyond the totalitarian "hate speech" laws, that now even make it illegal to quote the Bible or Koran in some instances.  A sneaky bill passed by the Liberals requires Big Tech of compensate independent Canadian journalists for content, including links or search results.  The predictable response of Big Tech was not to compensate them but instead to block them on their sites, thereby reducing the reach of independent news sites that the government does not approve of.

Meanwhile, in Germany, a leak has revealed that government media regulators are plotting new legislation to force social media to boost "trusted" and "reliable" (read pro-government) news sites.  German law already allows citizens to be prosecuted criminally for insulting politicians, such as the German pensioner recently prosecuted for calling the very unsuccessful federal Economics Minster a "moron" in a social media post.

In the Netherlands, suppression of free speech even includes politicized judges abusing their office to stifle conservatives.  A major TV personality there was recently convicted of "hate speech" and ordered to do community service for her on-air criticism of government migration policy and her revealing the high crime rates of migrants, the latter being actual government statistics.
