Sue Tuten Davis | Eastern NC Now

    Sue Tuten Davis, age 80, a resident of Pantego, died Saturday, May 30, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Union Grove Church of Christ with Scott Askew and Ethan Coltrain officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends Monday evening, June 1, 2026, at Union Grove Church of Christ from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

    Sue was born on December 14, 1945, in Beaufort County to the late Roy Franklin Tuten, Sr. and Alma Rowe Tuten. She attended Bath High School. On September 4, 1962, she married David Davis, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1993. Sue retired as a NAI from Autumnfield of Belhaven. She was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. Sue loved shopping, gardening, and going to church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her children, David Davis, III and Donna Davis, her brothers, Donald and Frankie Tuten, sisters, Anita Tuten and Lynne Tetterton. She was a loving mother to her children, and a treasured nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Survivors include her daughter, Lora Colbert (Wayne) of Pantego, sister, Joanne Tuten of Chocowinity, grandchildren, Chelsey Berry (Ricky), Sydney Spencer (Hunter), Johnny Colbert, Jr., Rachel Lilley and Matthew Davis, great grandchildren, Gavin, Eliana, Morgan, Jaxson, Amelia, Caroline, and Wayland.
