Between Trump election and inauguration, Biden DOE handed out $93 Billion in grants / loans | Eastern NC Now

twice as much as all grants and loans in past 15 years COMBINED

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright told a Senate committee hearing, on questioning from Louisiana Senator John Kennedy, that the lame duck Biden political appointees at his department had handed out over $93 Billion in loans and grants between President Trump's election in November and his inauguration in January.  That was a 76 day period.  Kennedy rehashed this issue to update information that first leaked out last year, when Kennedy also  grilled Wright on the subject.

This was twice as much money as the Department had put out in loans and grants for the prior fifteen years COMBINED.  Further, a large percentage of the loan and grant ap[plications for this money did not have a business plan or a financial statement attached. Many recipients were political cronies.

Secretary Wright said he was shocked at what he found.  His staff is now trying to get to the bottom of what happened to determine what can be done about it.

This is not the only Biden department where his lame duck political appointees did this. A similar spending spree happened at the EPA, where an outgoing Biden staffer boasted it was like "tossing gold bars off the Titanic".  The problem was the "gold bars" were taxpayer money.

Listening to that video of what the Biden DOE did with out tax money makes my blood boil. Senator Kennedy does a great job of exposing it. The DOE budget before Biden was about $60 Billion, which Biden almost tripled to $160 Billion, then handed out well over half of it as a lame duck administration in 76 days, with often no plan provided by recipients or any financials showing their solvency. It was a massive political slush fund. Yes. people need to go to prison for this.

The Biden regime treating taxpayer money as their own private piggy bank to pass out to their friends and allies is outrageous. I hope the Energy Department's investigations will result in some prosecutions of these crooks, both those giving out the money and those receiving it.
