    Mrs. Faye Moore Brame, age 88, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Wednesday August 19, 2026, at her home.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday August 21, 2026, at the Moore Family Cemetery located on Highway 33 East of Chocowinity. The service will be officiated by Pastor Michael Hill. Pallbearers will be Cole Brame, Landon Brame, Josh Ferrell, Rodney Evans, Dean Burbage, and Curtis Avery. Honorary pallbearer will be Parker Williams.

    Mrs. Brame was born in Beaufort County on June 16, 1938, daughter of the late Alonza and Annie Clark Moore. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School. On June 29, 1956, she married Paul Hunter Brame who preceded her in death on May 13, 2012. After her marriage and her son being born, she chose to dedicate her time to her family by helping on the farm and being a homemaker. Mrs. Brame loved cooking, baking cakes for her church and church family, and gardening in her vegetable garden and flower beds. She made Christmas special by cooking her ham and collards. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she dearly enjoyed attending and watching them playing sports. She was a member of Ephesus Original Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include a son: Jeff Brame and his wife Shannon of Chocowinity; grandchildren: Madison Brame Ferrell and her husband Josh of Youngsville, Cole Brame and his fiancée Ashlynn Woolard of Grifton, and Landon Brame of Chocowinity; and great grandchildren: Eloise and Davis Ferrell. Mrs. Brame was predeceased, along with her parents and husband by two brothers: James R. "Jimmy" Moore and Ronald J. Moore; and two sisters: Frankie M. Edwards and Edna Chandler.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Ephesus Free Will Baptist Church, 2685 Ephesus Church Road, Blounts Creek, NC 27814 or to the charity of one's choice.
