Danny Harold Fleming | Eastern NC Now

    Danny Harold Fleming was received in the Kingdom of Heaven at his rural farm home in Aurora, NC on September 9, 2026.

    Danny was born February 4, 1954 in Panama City, Florida to Joe H Fleming and Betty Lou Jones Fleming. He graduated from Rutherford High School, class of 1972, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church

    Danny's childhood was filled with memories of Tung Oil Groves, Francis Fleming junk yard, Conrad's oyster bar, and RHS class of 1972, canoeing Econfina Creek, swimming at Blue Springs, and roaming freely through his childhood home in Millville. Danny worked at West Florida Gas, a Telephone pole Mill and the steel industry.

    The last 14 years of his life, Danny enjoyed rural life with his Appaloosa, Lola and his best companion, a black lab named "Bacon". He benefited from becoming a great uncle who engaged with the children of the farm daily by teaching them how to care for the horses and sharing his endless supply of popcorn.

    Danny is survived by his mother, Betty Fleming of Panama City, Fl, his twin sister, Shirley Gustine (Mike) of Columbus, Mississippi, and his brother, Jeffery Fleming (Carla) of the family farm in Aurora, NC, and many nieces and nephews of several generations. He is preceded in death by his father Joe Fleming, infant brother, Steve Fleming, and sister Barbara Ranow.

    Graveside services will be at Evergreen Memorial in Panama City, Fl; plans are in development at this time.
