Back at the rabbitpatch, all was well. The boxer did his "homecoming dance" and Christopher Robin "sang for his supper" as he always does, the minute I arrive.

It is early morning now and pitch dark at the rabbitpatch. I seldom let an opportunity to complain about "changing the clocks" go by.

It is a beautiful Easter morning at the rabbit patch. The sun came up brightly and the birds have been singing their hearts out.

It has become a tradition for me to complain about the time change, every year. Several days have passed and I am just now feeling a bit acclimated to the "changing of the clocks".

It was not raining when I woke on Sunday. There was a bit of wind rattling the bare oak branches and the sky was that now familiar, pale pewter color.

The wind gusts yesterday were over fifty and they blew all day long. The river, in the small town, where I work has been blown off its' course. No longer is what lies beneath it, a secret.

It remains unseasonably warm, so much that the flowers meant for March are making their presence known. There are reported sightings of daffodils and hyacinths - and I have seen first hand the spirea.

The windows are up at the rabbit patch and the birds are singing. Daffodils are beginning to sprout, but I am too old to be fooled, at least by this . . .It is February.

I drive to work as the sun is coming up. I declare that the sun rising over a field of winter wheat is as beautiful as anything. Usually, the wheat fields are edged with woodland trees.
