On October 18, 2013, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud involving checks taken from a residence in Chocowinity. Deputies collected evidence and began an investigation.

As a result, Investigator Jim Adams applied for and obtained warrants charging Brooke Danielle Jones, age 23, of Goose Creek Road in Washington NC with one count of Forgery of an Endorsement, one count of Uttering a Forged Endorsement and one count of Obtaining Property By False Pretense.
