It has been a very busy day for everyone today, however, the next storm is coming. The NWS has issued the enclosed Winter Storm Watch, which includes Beaufort County, and is issued 24-36 hours prior to the arrival of a Winter Storm.

Warmer temperatures today will promote much-anticipated melting of snow and ice along the highways, but forecasted temperatures in the teens and low twenties after sunset means black ice remains a concern tonight and tomorrow morning.

Due to continued icy roads throughout the Beaufort County Community College service area, BCCC will be closed Friday, Feb. 1, to students, faculty and staff. Classes are canceled.
