At the next Table Talk event with the City Council candidates:
Ask them if they have read and understand all the zoning categories, and rules regarding them. Ask them if they know why such rules exist. Ask what happens when such rules arent EQUALLY enforced? Ask if they know of cases where the city Govt and its staff, has NOT equally enforced these zoning rules? Because such cases do exist.

The next time you do Table Talk, ask the candidates this:
What do you (the candidate) know about the City using out of state employment contractors (one in Colorado) to hire people out of the area & state, to perform local govt jobs. These hires do the city's work, but dont work for the city. Bypassing local citizen who also need jobs.

Commented on Is it Management or Education?Stan, I only used the term "old" men because BB did.
I am fully aware that corrupt people come in all ages, races, genders AND political affiliations. I just want those "workers of the system" to know that when you work the system, to your favor, or for the favor of friends, YOU are TAKING AWAY from the rest of the people. Cheaters are stealing from the well-being of the people of the community, as a whole. Its criminal. Voters get the Govt they deserve. Dear Voters please remember, its in a politician's genes to make you like him. Dont be a useful idiot.

Well its true locally, that there is a bunch of old white men, AND old black men working the system in their favor, causing great suffering for the average citizens who are, (as Joe Namath said) "just trying to get by."
Yes the black race has reached the level of equality in the USA where they too, have the power to be corrupt & cause great harm to the well-being of WeThePeople. The continuation of all this corruption is causing the non-activist citizens to learn to hate, some old white men and some old black men. These Power brokers who "work the system" at the expense of "equality & fairplay" are disgusting.

part 2:
Everyone connected to the Washington Govt is in on it because they have been part of the cover-up. I suspect the cabal was looking for a reason to charge her with a crime, so as to make her seem dishonest. I know this because I have been a victim of the City corruption too. Alex Murtaugh would fit right in here in Washington.

Corrupt Govts are difficult to prosecute. Because as a City official told me:"It means whatever we say it means."
If it werent for th whistleblower, Brabo wouldnt have a leg to stand on, because the corrupt police would simple say, "we had a suspicion." On any connived suspicion, they could snoop around in her backyard whether it was fenced & locked or not & peek n her windows. They could do internet investigations on her,& even sic the other authorities on her, based on their lying talking-point "suspicions." NC lawyers would refuse to take a case against any police dept based on that fuzzy line w/ police authority. Lawyers cant be trusted, because in order to survive they had had to learn to wk jointly w/ th City, police, D.A.,Judges. They consider your civil rights expendable, but their survival must be protected. Under these conditions, whose word would u as a fellow "official" take? The City cabal, or Brabo's? Brabo would be up the creek w/out a paddle. part 1, part2 to follow.

RINO HUNTER Wrote:
What gives Mayor Sadler absolute power as th tin horn dictator of city govt is his control of the city council through the 3-Stooges of his political machine" I disagree, his control comes from a Cabal which is himself as Mayor, the City Manager,& the Deputy CityManager, Drakeford, who also serves as the Director of Safety, & PoliceChief and at times in the past also the FireChief. He seems to be indispensable as he rotates in the top jobs as needed, to maintain control. Stalin would love that type of consolidation of power into a few. Note that he once again became Police Chief when the current chief was demoted without a peep. A man the Manager describes as a "team player." (Do as you are told.) Everyone with the City does as they are told, or they dont keep their job/jobs. Citizens become targets if they expect excellence in Govt, over corruption of Govt. Washington needs new leadership. Brabo couldnt possibly be worse for WeThePpl than th status quo.

Buzz, what is so bad about a bedroom community? Greenville is only 30 minutes away AND, I can order anything I want or need from Amazon, Walmart, or the Business itself, via the internet. This is no longer the 90s. Washington is no longer isolated. Times have changed. Besides Greenville has become dangerous.
I once asked a man why he lived in Washington while his business was in Raleigh. He said because he can get from one end of town to the other with only 2 traffic lights. Its a few more now, but is still meaningful. The problem with businesses, is that local govts cater to them, going so far as to let them step on the toes of the citizens just trying to live. Its part of the corruption. People with $$ get favors. Why? probably because those in Govt get favors in return. If you are just a taxpayer, then you are invisible to your local Govt, or you have become a target.

Commented on False Economy in the SchoolsWhat I have observed about elected people: They dont know everything, and they know it. They probably are feeling a bit incompetent, so they rely heavily on the hired staff & bureaucrats. (who dont know everything either & may even lie to protect their job).
When a citizen comes to an elected person with a grievance, this elected person lazily turns to the "bureaucrat experts." The experts give an answer, that may be wrong, but the elected person feels covered, and lazily moves on. He doesnt come back to the grieved citizen to see if what the experts told him is correct. He has thusly circled the govt wagons against the citizen. Its a wall a mile high. If you are elected, and YOU have done this, then YOU are part of the corruption. I know of many local elected people from City to County that this fits. Shame on you!

Commented on False Economy in the SchoolsIf a school system is going to use computerized programs to teach, then there should be multiple neighborhood learning centers for children to learn these subjects... not mega schools which require a lot of $$$$ and are extremely impersonal. If one chooses to learn via online courses, then HomeSchooling is a real option.
Just one of my thoughts. :-)

Commented on Political SausageYes Bubba,
As you correctly wrote: "Too many of our school board members seem to be little more than rubber stamps / puppets for our very liberal superintendent Cheeseman. That is pathetic." This puppet/rubber stamp scenario exist for the City of Washington as well. Our entire City Council & the bureaucrats that work for them are mere mindless puppets doing the bidding of the City Manager. When Hood wrote: "Sometimes, with zoning, there comes corruption, favoritism and huge expensive bureaucracies to administer the favoritism and corruption." I thought he must be talking about the City of Washington. No, they wont see the error of their ways because they are too ignorant & lazy to understand their own responsibilities to the public. I'll bet you not one of them have read the zoning rules posted on their own City website. Vote wisely.

I have heard that the School system took a contract away. I think you said that NOW sometimes gets hacked. That's a crime, you should always report those things. Inquiring minds want to know. Having watched so much absurdity for almost 2 decades,it is not surprising that we dont trust anyone. Burned too many times. Sometimes Trump does seem naive.(especially by not foreseeing the big CHEAT of 2020.) However I know how so many of us take the easy attitude: "Kill them all, let God sort them out." But when one becomes Prez, a reasonable Prez has to be more moderate in his outlook, because he has the responsibilities of the world on his shoulders. For example during Covid, Trump was damned if he did and damned if he didnt, because people were going to die no matter what he did, and he WOULD be blamed. He was between a rock & a hard place. For these reasons I cut Trump a lot of slack. He's a 1000% better than all the rest.

Stan, My 2 cents.
You as an overly optimistic person, has likely been slapped in th face by reality, & for th 1st time having to confront th truth, that many of th pple around u are snakes. It is frustrating & stressful, & u are likely befuddled as to which way to turn. In Washington, & the County, a lot of us face th same evil all th time. Can you imagine local ppl here, speakin like Texans who say: Coming together in times of need is WHAT We DO? No! I once read that th most harmful thing to our health is th feeling of hopelessness. So th counter to that is to have a PLAN, fight 4 it as an educated person would do, & accept it as just 1 of your Patriotic struggles in life, & believe success lies ahead. I think that would b a life well lived, but maybe not peacefully. We all know courage is the American way! Also, is there anything wrong w speaking th harsh truth to those who R causing you so much grief? You know, we dont want any Soy boys here. Do your thing! You will be rewarded.

Commented on Answer to “Let’s Get it Right!”Stan, Due to word limitations, I was not able to speak the reality, that of course not ALL politician's are bad. I just figured everyone here understood it.
However since you did mention a shortage here locally, how many good politicians (outside yourself & Hood) do you know of, in Washington? Also how many in Beaufort County, excluding Washington? Inquiring minds want to know. As for the bureaucrats, I'm pretty sure that if they want to keep their jobs, they are all taking the easy road forward so as not to rock the boats of their bosses. This means they are not "good."

Commented on Answer to “Let’s Get it Right!”Stan,
Politicians and bureaucrats have contempt for the local citizens. They see us as just noisy bastards and grumbling time consumers. It is a learned behavior, passed down to the new political elites. Locally that contempt and response to citizens is passed on to the local State of NC Dept employees who live locally and head depts here. They have gotten away with it for so long they think it is their right, as they believe they are superior to the riff raft that intrude on their "important work." Some know the score, and thus know they must pay to play. They must pay with their loss of integrity to participate as an insider...and avoid getting demoted. I suspect that the City Manager has access to everyone's email, that is within their govt system. "Give someone an ounce of power, and you will learn their true character."

Commented on US DOE says electric grid was recently on the brink of collapse from Biden climate regsSeems like a scam to me.
If you have Optimum cable TV, ch 35 is a Greenville Utilities sponsorship of announcements and area weather forecasts. They tell us that Gville is building a solar farm and citizens can adopt solar panels. There are some up front fees... I think $35 each, and some monthly fees. But when all is said and done the monthly ongoing cost to you is abt $5 per panel u adopt. They joyfully try to sell it to the woke, who they say can enjoy participating in solar energy programs to save the planet. I cant believe they are doing this with a straight face. I wonder how many virtue-signalers sign up to send the electric company an extra $5 a month.
