Compared to America's past, compared to most nations now, there is little racism in America today.

What is very dangerous is the Race Baiters and Democrats, who use Race as a major issue to win elections, since they know little of Free Markets, Public Safety, Foreign Policy, Winning Wars, and the U.S. Constitution.

Why are all Race Baiters and Poverty Pimps Democrats?

I think that answers to what is true in today's America.

I do not hate that you brought up your position to make your point known on hate; however, I hate that I mistakenly, once again, signed your Morning Muse, although I don't hate to admit it that I find them refreshing, in a minimalist capacity, and would not hate claiming them as my own.

Don't you just hate it when I drone on so about all this.

Thanks again, this time Gene. I am rarely separated from my camera.

Thanks Ted.

It was a unique sunset, long in duration, not so much color, but loads of texture.

Joni Mitchell was one of the rare greats. That mantel today rests upon the shoulders of say, Alison Krauss, a little different, but so special, like Joni.

Could it be that the taxpayers of Beaufort County just don't care what happens in their county, that they will soon have a tax increase at the absolute worse time - when the economy falters - or are they just too lazy to pay attention to the obvious?

Years ago, 35 to 65 folks regularly spoke at the public hearings, with that meeting lasting upwards of 4 hours to forge a budget for the People.

I have seen as many as 8 budget workshops, with the binders of budget details exceeding 200 pages. This year was 9 pages of details for a 58 million dollar budget.

This group of county commissioners did not deliberate a budget this year. It just did not occur, irrespective of what any of these commissioner neophytes might tell you.

It simply did not happen.

I pray that this lethargic electorate will be happy with their tax increase, because they voted in the perfect commissioners to make that happen.

Well, this is an outstanding series. We are all the better for it for it does lift aura of BCN measurably.

So that is where that image came from.

I reckon that is why I intuitively felt safe posting it.

A little often mentioned secret is that:

A. I back everything up in many places, and I pray that all of my storage points are pristine: and more importantly ...

B. We will always keep our servers, and I will never let any posts die, and certainly no images. We get too much traffic to ever consider such.

Thanks Ted.

By that definition, this may be the only time in my life I am a moderate - I buy reasonably priced equipment and I upgrade about every 2 to 3 years.

Still, I contend that my cameras are of better quality than I am a photographer.

This was my 20th budget final meeting, where the voting usually happens: 18 as a commissioner, 1 as a citizen (some time ago), and now one as pure media only; and this is the worst I have ever seen for dishonest behavior.

Because of my past experiences, I see stuff that others don't or can't see, so I was pretty well disgusted when I came home after the meeting.

In fact, I had written about 500 words while at the meeting, and chucked most of it, and wrote something altogether different this morning to better express my observations.

We do not have photo capabilities on comments, but it could be because we have never had that request. Maybe that will be next on the R&D table.

Send me what you have and I will see what I can do. Thanks for your submissions. You have given me quite a backlog, of which, I am thankful.

No, but I will be if my plan succeeds.

So I work hard and I work smart, and I look for other smart people to sell to, or to work with me.

This is such a quantifiable thing. Much in life is if you you know what to look for.

How about, the tax rate went down.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 2:57 pm By: Stan Deatherage
I believe in free markets for free men, and I despise the tyranny of the EPA, and am hopeful that soon congress will reign in their unprincipled, unconstitutional behavior.

Somewhere in there is your answer.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 2:56 pm By: Stan Deatherage
Mine did not go up, and the overall tax rate is moving toward a flat tax rate, which I prefer.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 2:38 pm By: Stan Deatherage
That is my answer, and it is math - the Liberals' lost understanding of it.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 12:12 pm By: Stan Deatherage
Three billion dollar Democrat deficit.

It's called math, which the condition of Liberal will not permit; however, the science still exists.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 9:54 am By: Stan Deatherage
Still, three billion dollars in the hole here in North Carolina is not a good argument for your, Liberals', plea for income redistribution.
Commented: Monday, June 15th, 2015 @ 8:55 am By: Stan Deatherage
That 3 billion dollar deficit under Democrat governors and Democrat legislatures, the first massive deficit in North Carolina history, was such a great idea. I'm sure it made all you "progressive" Liberals 'pleased as punch'.

You had to be so proud.

Again, I sometimes talk about politcs/government, which is what I know, but I almost never talk about religion.
Commented: Saturday, June 13th, 2015 @ 1:51 pm By: Stan Deatherage
The Baptists are your issue, not mine.

I'm concerned with a nation that is becoming too stupid to survive. Now, I know how to fix that, but we're going to need a lot more smart people in government to do it, and then you will need a much smarter electorate to elect them, so we are back to education.

And that is also what I do. I am an optimist, but I also know that stupid kills, so I am extra vigilant of the Stupids. I've done more than my part to correct such.

Referring back to my last comment thanking my Liberal Friend, Gene, for the hackneyed Liberal buzz words /buzz words that Liberals are expected to use when debating, I was wrong to include 'name-calling' on the list. 'Name-calling was already on the list, and for good reason, and I should have been more cognitive of that trite Liberal phrase's inclusion.

Bullies/bully/bullied, however, is another matter, and has not been added yet to the Liberals' List of 'acceptable speech', in fact the Liberal phrase 'acceptable speech' needs to be added to the list as well. So now to mention the 'acceptable speech so mindlessly, and thoroughly trashed by Liberals, here below is the working list of such -

Liberals' List (updated) of Acceptable Buzz Words / Buzz Phrases:

Racist, gay, LGBT (Q), progressive, diversity, empowerment, neanderthal, mean-spirited, social justice, 1%, Koch Brothers, stakeholders, Rush Limbaugh, Faux News, Hate, Hate Speech, name-calling, Bush/Cheney, bigot, Conservative, torture, moral equivalency, income redistribution, bipartisanship (or do it our way), trickle down, acceptable speech, bullies/bully/bullied, etc. ... until I can add more, and I will do so, as long as there is Liberal speak.
Commented: Saturday, June 13th, 2015 @ 9:14 am By: Stan Deatherage
It's over, you lost, give it up.

But I do thank-you for giving me two more Liberal buzz words/phrases that I should have already collected: bullies/bully/bullied and name-calling.

Thanks. I'll add them to Liberals' list.

Bobby Tony, I missed you man.

That's a bingo, Bobby Tony. Government is not the solution, government will never be the solution, government is the problem, and that is my strict summation of government after spending 18 years at the pinnacle of government here in Beaufort County.

Government can do far less damage if it is kept smaller, more nimble.

Thank-you Bobby Tony once again, and enjoy your walk-a-bout.

Straw-man argument about Nazis and Jews denouncing name-calling, then reverting back to Liberal 'name-calling', which is a trite Liberal ploy, signifying the debate is over - you lost, as Liberals always do when outmatched.

You might as well have cried 'RACIST!', which is now well known as the Liberals' cry of 'uncle' to signify I know I've lost; I give up, but here is a parting shot to give my fellow Liberals hope.

Bernie Sanders labels himself as a Socialist; Elizabeth Warren labels herself as an ultra Liberal.

I rest my case on all this self-professed moderate nonsense.

Like I said, 'Not that there's anything wrong with that', but you are what you are.
Commented: Saturday, June 13th, 2015 @ 5:16 am By: Stan Deatherage
Then, you always choose the Liberal side, hence Liberal (Not that there;s anything wrong with that),
Commented: Friday, June 12th, 2015 @ 9:16 pm By: Stan Deatherage
You Liberals live in a relative, world where math and principled behavior can not exist.
Commented: Friday, June 12th, 2015 @ 5:56 pm By: Stan Deatherage
The county commission has nothing to do with your dislike of Reagan, Vietnam, or your inability to understand basic math when it comes to a property tax rate v property tax value.

It is about you electing incompetent people and then complaining when they govern accordingly.

This is the government you deserve.
Commented: Friday, June 12th, 2015 @ 12:03 pm By: Stan Deatherage
Gene, you support Liberals, who waste money and make terrible policy decisions, and then you blame it all on we, Conservatives, that actually know math and have good sense, unlike you Liberals.

This is the height of hypocrisy. Just pay your taxes. Stop complaining.
Commented: Friday, June 12th, 2015 @ 11:51 am By: Stan Deatherage
You know Gene, that would work if there was no such thing as math.
Commented: Friday, June 12th, 2015 @ 8:05 am By: Stan Deatherage
Good Gene, then you agree with Hood - business should be done in public.
