I actually agree with Gene to some extent. I would be satisfied if they would just get smarter ... a lot smarter.

That is my idea.

Plus, we have your unique stuff, my image posts and travelogues, and then Wyatt's reviews (This guy really brings them in. I need to shame him into getting us some new stuff). An let's not forget all the press releases from almost anybody. And don't forget the humor pieces.

Many smart folks, who understand media, send us the press releases, which are freely broadcast. We take all submissions reasonably well presented, unique, or community oriented: the memorials, business news, etc. We publish everything but filth and crap ... well, we still publish some crap.

And now the begging or, for me, the shaming begins.

Bobby Tony: Be a man. Stay where you are needed and appreciated.

Nope, these are the last of Bobby Tony, as I work through my backlog. These things take time.

Alison Krauss, and, especially, Union Station are my today's Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin rolled into one. Best group of musicians alive today for my money.

The first concert I ever saw was The First Edition at the old Wright Memorial at ECU.

At that time, "I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in."

They better be small military boats to get through the Pamlico Sound, or Core Sound, or just about any sound.

How is this inlet critical to the military?

Thanks Wes.

71 years ago today, the Allied troops were all over the beaches of Normandy, dug in, creating huge docks, moving huge amounts of material into Fortress Europe, taking coastal towns, and preparing to move into the infamous Hedgerows, to rid western France of Nazis, in their bloody push into Paris.

At that time my father, Robert Earle Deatherage, was finishing up his first year of NC State (they raised boys to be men back then), awaiting his 18th birthday (his mother would not sign for him at 17 to join) so he could join up, in August, 1944, to aid his nation at war.

My father would go to the Pacific Theater, help clean up the Philippines and Saipan, and then hit the beaches at Okinawa way before his 19th birthday. By the time they were preparing for the Invasion of Japan, Robert Earl was a Buck Sargent, with a platoon in his care, and not yet 19 years old.

These men were great heroes, flawed as humans as we all are, but determined to win the peace for their families, their nation that they loved as if it was a gentle mother, a kind uncle.

For me, our soldiers, our patriots, those that give back to their communities are the real heroes.

Not the false symbols in today's POP America.

When we forget D-Day, Pearl Harbor, Inchon, the repulsion of the Tet Offensive, the successful Surge in Iraq, and, ultimately, then the Democrats' surrender of Iraq, we lose our nation in pieces, and then in large chunks.

When the He/She Caitlyn Jenner is today's great hero, rather than observing the victory of Operation Overlord, as we witness now in POP America, some may make the argument that we have lost our nation ... for now at least ... until our patriots take it back.

But here is the thing Gene.

I am tired of the issue being foisted upon the rest of us - sex, sex, sex - the weirder the better, as if there was little else to talk about.

Is this what American society will look like until it all turns really bad, or: Will the American economy turn verifiably positive, the Murderous Muslims decide that they know longer have a need to slaughter Christians and Jews, times are safe and good, and then what does the subject become in even greater abundance in today's Leftest Media - Sex, Sex and more weird SEX?

That is no environment to raise future generations of a good people.

"And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes."

I agree with everything Bobby Tony just said, except I am not quite as gentile in my statements on these obvious truths, and Bobby, you have nothing to apologize for.

Bobby Tony, you are a true Southern gentleman, even though Bruce/Caitlin will no longer be.

Soon I will some about this subject and much about others somewhat similar to this narcissistic expression of the weird, in my new POP America! series, and I will be far less generous than Bobby Tony.

See you again, and hopefully soon my friend.

For me, I don't care about the He/She. What I do care about is POP America's embrace of the bigot reference, as if POP America would actually know what bigotry actually was, or is, and then be offended when folks far wiser than they challenge them on it.

In this victimized society, which is at the core of POP America, I see little good coming from it.

Ergo, the challenge. A challenge that POP America is substantively unable of countering, hence, the bigot word will get thrown around as if it still has any real meaning in the mouth of a POP American.

Freaking A!

Thanks.

The overarching theme of "POP America!" is how a great propensity of Americans, from all age groups, perceive themselves, their nation and the World, in the context of what is cool, or what may become the next cool thing.

Furthermore, I will examine how that condition of their overwhelming concern of accepting, and receiving acceptance, from their peers under that controlling guise, is the construct of where they build their foundation of principles, as if there was this profound pretext of tribal religiosity as a life path to guide their eternal awareness of self. From within their self imposed system of tribal inclusion, they gleefully proclaim in a group shout: NO ORIGINAL THOUGHT HERE!

I generally don't do articles about Sex. I leave that to the Leftist Media, who seem to be preoccupied with the subject, which probably is not a bad idea, since most journalists today are not smart enough to address more weightier issues.

I am; however, about to start a new series titled "POP America!" where I will soon mention Bruce, excuse me, Caitlyn Jenner, but the post will not be built around him/her.

I tend to agree with you Ted. I know homosexuals; some I get along with, but some that do some egregiously stupid stuff, coupled with some rather petty behavior, which seems to compound the stupidity.

I try not to group people, or stereo type folks; however, I am well acquainted with Stupid, and the conditioned of unrecognized stupid is very dangerous on so many levels.

I will group Stupid because it is soon to become the next protected class, and I'm here to warn everyone, Stupid will be treated as such where ever I exist.

I will not tolerate Stupid, unchallenged, as the ruling class here in my Republic. Not as long as I draw breath.

Good post on the Left's misunderstanding of the Constitution, and the First Amendment, which is one of the few amendments that they purport to understand, but, obviously, can't.

This is what Fascism looks like: The restriction of liberty for some, while extending pieces of it to others.

I am a Republican. Not because I was raised to be one, not because I think the Republican Party is such a wonderful brand; it isn't.

I am a Republican, because it is not the Democrat Party, which, like the great propensity of its candidates, are without values and mostly ignorant of real world solutions, and I am mostly being kind here; I could be far harsher.

Therefore, I nearly always support the Republican candidate, unless, I have personal knowledge that the Republican is a nonredeemable RINO, and that is always a possibility; more often than I care to admit in these times.

To be succinct, I am a very good judge of political 'horse flesh'; probably as good as anyone in these parts, so I will make this one analysis, as a Republican, as someone who is proven to fix government, definitely at the local level: All of the announced Republican candidates are outstanding people, and could put America back on the right track. I would vote for, and support any of them.

However, currently, my two favorites are from the state of Texas: Governor Rick Perry and Senator Ted Cruz. I believe both have the ability to be outstanding American presidents, the kind of a president we will need to repair the obvious damage wrought upon this land, at this time.

This is my opinion now. I thought you should know.

Same old "'HATE' Speech" from Gene.
Commented: Thursday, June 4th, 2015 @ 3:13 pm By: Stan Deatherage
For me, there is little difference between Liberals and those squishy Middlecrats you are so fond of.

Middlecrats, in today's America, easily qualify as Liberals when it is time to move an issue. When it is time to 'stand and deliver', they tend to suffer from lack of principles syndrome.

Damn, Bobby Tony. That's a bingo.

That is why I only accuse people of the obvious. No one other than my wife, and, on occasion, my children knows what goes on in my heart.

Only she has paid the price to know these things.

Well, then, you be the norm as it all turns to dung. I'll stick with my principles and my intelligence.

That, you, Liberals, can never take from me.

I could never understand your "'HATE' Speech" anyway.
