Bill Gates is not altogether right about some things, and is sometimes wrong about very big things.
The simple truth of the matter, Bill Gates has had brilliant moments, but eventually sold out his big brain to the dictates of the wrong-way Left, and that sell-out path often now shows in his current words and deeds.

The Unaffiliated voted in the Republican Primary for all seats, where candidates most resembled Democratic Socialists.

Commented on Queen Garris Shoots Herself in the Foot - AgainVan Zant: You might be right in your suggestions that the local GOP is working to build a party of recently converted Democrats, who now wish to become involved in party politics and run for office as right leaning moderates, get elected, and serve as left Fake "Republicans," controlled by the ideals of the present day Democratic Socialist party. That prospect is frightening on its face that Beaufort County's local party apparatus is inviting the RINO element within our midst, but that propect should not surprise anyone, especially myself and The Hood.
We have now, and have had the RINO element earlier in greater quantities within our midst on the Beaufort County Commission. It is as if the local GOP wishes fully round out the Beaufort County Commission with RINOs forever.

Commented on Queen Garris Shoots Herself in the Foot - AgainThe local GOP has absolutely "gone off the rails" having NO idea what their charge was in the recent primary election, which was to get the vote out in the March 3 primary; in which they made the corrupted decision to do NOTHING; having just poorly spent around 11 thousand unauthorized dollars in the non partisan City of Washington election.
Instead of recognizing what a local Republican party is supposed to do, three factions within the local GOP's core functionies emerged, all consisting of RINOs and RINO Whisperers, seeking to elect three disparate factions of candidates that were predominately not conservative in ideals, or in knowledge of governmental practice. The great irony here exposed within the local GOP's effort of NOT getting out the vote for all candidates, as in their charge helping the conservatives as well, and which they disdain, they aided in defeating their one inner party core incumbent, who has voted as a Conservative in Raleigh - Keith Kidwell. I sometimes wonder since I truly understand how all this works, how getting people elected works - am I in a bubble here in understanding what I consider the obvious?

Bubba: I agree, and with School Choice in NC we are moving in the right direction.
The Public Education Industry needs School Choice, or it will never improve. Two truisms abound: 1. Without competition these monopoly created schools will never improve; 2. Public Schools "made their beds made their beds and now they must lay in them." The Public Education Industry, with their Leftist core approach to human values and the dispensing of that information by instructive fiat has led them down the road to ruin. Competition is the only impetus to push the Public Education Industry in all the proper directions. The Left hates education, and the Left must be politically destroyed to save education and this Representative Republic.

RH: Yeah, I saw that piece being worked in this traditionally low turnout election, along with some other poorly considered strategies worked within the dysfunctional Beaufort County GOP, also tied into the Armstrong juggernaut... And his success.
The great irony here is that the Beaufort County GOP, who did absolutely nothing to turn out the vote, actually aided in getting Keith Kidwell beat in this primary, which he might have prevailed with a stronger turnout. My race was a good indicator of such as my vote total was about as normal as it ever has been, with this year like-minded candidate Travis Martin sharing and borrowing in what voting largess I might have gotten if he had not been in the race. Historically, I always run much stronger in the General Election, which I will need to do to win, and, or win big. I have much time to campaign until November.

I am prayerful that things will change, but I am also in NO way sanguine that a real Beaufort County GOP will emerge from these self imposed ashes that will be helpful to this proven Conservative in his Conservative quest to continue to serve the good People of Beaufort County.

CV: Agreed - Don Brown was the best choice to represent the Republican platform, the Conservative platform in the 2026 General Election for US Senate.
It is also agreed that those hoping for a conservative majority on the Beaufort County Commission should work to elect their candidate who they believe to best suited for their needs, and then let the chips fall where they may. I will work with whatever Republicans that will caucus with myself and The Hood. Those that will not caucus with the two commissioners with the most experience and knowledge will be forced to form their own Center-Left/ Left Coalition with whatever Democratic Socialists are left on our board of commissioners, and that will seal their political fate just as they wished it to be. That is simply the "Math of It." One more thing: Those members of the local electorate that wish to be governed by a Conservative styled local government will be unhappy with whatever they get unless they gain the knowledge of what a Conservative styled local government is at its core, and how it must be politically constructed in this age where inexperienced politicians - like Frankie Waters and Randy Waters - always get rolled by the bureaucrats; not unlike children playing with boys far too big and far too strong, and in the context of politics ... Those far too wise for their simple cognitive abilities here in Beaufort County.

Superintendent Don Phipps, former Beaufort County Schools superintendent, who is now the Forsyth County Superintendent, is the gold star best when it he managed Beaufort County ... The very best in my 26 years as a county commissioner, and the creator of the very best educational digital platform, an objective truth, Beaufort County schools has ever had the pleasure to use for 5 years.
I have always relished the opportunity to deal with smart, honest people, and after working with Don Phipps on so many different levels, I can assuredly state: Superintendent Phipps will straighten in Forsyth County Schools, regardless of the undertaking.

Conservative Voter: If I were the other two Republicans ahead of me, I would be worried about me in November. I will explain:
1. C. Travis Martin, the 4th place finisher got 0ver 1200 votes, with more than half of that vote, people who are my usual voters, thus splitting off my vote for Travis, who as a Conservative, would have been a big help to me in my governing within a Conservative majority - Beaufort County's first Conservative majority 2. Accordingly, C. Travis Martin was the first addition to my campaign team for the November General Election, which Travis enthusiastically accepted, as he and I have a common ambition to govern within a smaller, more efficient Beaufort County governing apparatus. If primary votes are important, I will be in a perfect position to get almost all of Travis's voters. 3. I was outspent by every opponent by a good bit. I may spend less again, but I know how to best stretch every campaign dollar better than anyone in these parts, plus I intend to raise plenty within my campaign war chest to do all I feel I need to do to accomplish my prime directive. 4. I am not intending to struggle to make that 3rd position in November, I intend to gain the first position; higher than the loan Democratic Socialist running in November. 5. How do I intend to accomplish this feat: Watch and learn!

"Sadly evil is no longer hiding, its out in the open." - CountryGirl1411
CountryGirl1411, I understand your true words on a regular basis, and I see it everywhere: locally, at the state level, across our nation, and in our World at large. It is incumbent as Christians that we not only humbly ask for our Saviour's grace, but we endeavor to improve His world by whatever good means available to eliminate evil as we can, for Satan exists among us, and we are his "Christian Soldiers" ... Eternally.
