Democratic Socialists are suspect because a huge part of their party exists on the largess of corruption. When I see corruption in so-called Republicans, I go real hard on them, and that is proved in my commitment, as I am one of limited number of honest /smart politicians here locally. That is my record now, as it has always been to do so; I can't hide from it; I embrace it even to my political detriment with those that are corrupt, and still sadly in our midst.

Commented on A Critical Look at the Commissioners RaceBuzz, I agree to a point; however, those of us qualified folk, who have served for so long and well have suffered much economic damage and disdain from those RINOs, and Leftists that are a growing part of the electorate in this self governed society of Beaufort County.
Those of us that have the courage to serve honorably and well need to politically know these "many qualified people are reluctant to expose themselves or their families to the mudslinging and hostility that define today’s political climate," and that they show the courage to present themselves, and get deeply involved with Conservatives and Conservative issues before they should get my, and our support. I worked 3 years for Republican party candidates before I ever ran for office, and I ran for office for all the right reasons. I want to see some of that diligence, before I commit to anyone going forward. This is the way I see it going from here on out.

Commented on A Critical Look at the Commissioners RaceJohn Valley: I disparage over the fact that far too many junior politicians in Beaufort County believe they are untouchable as neophytes, when the big picture is never considered by them and their fellow patterned players played poorly.
That is why Beaufort County is not doing better on so many levels, while petty political wannabes play petty games, which, in the end, hurts others, and, of course, they believe themselves to be UNTOUCHABLE.

I would be very careful selecting those that would representing my values if I was a Democratic Socialist. Come to think of it: RINOs aren't much better because they aid their brethren by their actions and inaction.

I warn that committee this: If this "Victory Committee" steps out of line as to what is politically proper, I will tear a great big whole into them on my time, at my discretion. Their job is to drive the voters to the polls, and when it comes to county commissioners' election, they best be even handed. I personally have seen no evidence of them involving what I would consider any progress toward victory, or any reasonable good will toward this one proven Conservative - Beaufort County Commissioner Stan Deatherage.
Maybe that will change, and we shall let them prove themselves worthy if that is possible, however ... I am not holding my breath.

They were successful in the 2014 primary; but, I was not aware then of their nefarious deceits. I am aware now, and I have been aware even before I filed for re-election for this 2026 General Election. My continual work against the RINO commissioners they support, those members of the Center-Left /Left Coalition, those that swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County, has put a big bullseye on my broad back, where the Beaufort County GOP's RINOs and RINO Whisperers have continued firing their petty darts. If I lose this election, it will be on their stupid little heads, and there is one thing I despise in politics /governing, and that what rings, and blares Stupid. This I promise: I will not rest until we wring the RINOs and RINO Whisperers out of the Beaufort County GOP. We must replace them with Conservative Republicans who are real, real as people, real as Republicans.

Additionally, another tidbit I gathered last night was this grand irony of self-inflicted ignorance: "We have 5 republicans on the county commission, yet we can't cut wasteful spending and taxes, so how effective has Deatherage been all these years?" This could also be one of sophistic statements, born out of the incredible guile that is the RINO, who is well misplaced from their natural Democratic Socialist environs, and yet are controlling part of a very corrupt Beaufort County GOP. The answer is simple: The Beaufort County GOP are mostly responsible for: 'having 5 republicans on the county commission, who will not cut wasteful spending and taxes." That is the greatest irony of insult to every Beaufort County Republican that they wrongly purport to represent. Why? They coddle, support and lend succour to every RINO Beaufort County Commissioner, and to the detriment of what few Conservatives are elected (without their help), who aspire to, and, at a minimum, represent the party platform of espousing a Limited Government as was intended by our Founders.

Commented on A Critical Look at the Commissioners RaceTo all real Conservatives here in Beaufort County: It was related to me tonight that the core of the what remains of the Beaufort County GOP will initiate a whisper campaign attacking my character for the benefit of their preferred candidates.
This will be a difficult task since: I have NO arrests other than an infrequent traffic infraction; no bankruptcies, nor lawsuits that I did not prevail in; A marriage for nearly 48 1/2 years (one of complete fidelity and great romantic love); creating 4 Millennial children that we did my best to raise to be mannerly, and with the innate character of both parents. The problem here is that the Beaufort County GOP is beleaguered to the point of incredible incompetence, run by so-called Republicans that have an aversion to true Conservatives, where the local GOP works behind the scenes to support those who will act as political frauds to the representative detriment of all true Conservatives in Beaufort County, those who wish to be governed by true Conservative values. It is the historical record of Beaufort County government that my words here are impeccably true. What will never be "impeccably true" are the words via the political neophytes of the Beaufort County GOP that may have promised to impugn my character just because I am a CONSERVATIVE politician that works against RINOs who vote with Democratic Socialists, thereby swapping votes to share power to build schools unneeded (10.5 million of county tax dollars); close community schools needed (the last community school, Snowden, in Aurora); shutter the Belhaven hospital (now torn down); and keep Beaufort County shut down for far too long during Covid; and refuse to have our county economic development site zoned what is economically proper - heavy industrial. I hate fraud, and I despise liars even more than icompetence. If there exists a fight between RINOs, and RINO Whisperers with this real Conservative Republican ... GAME ON!

Just an observation here on movies (the vast majority made by Liberals or Leftists) from Hollywood: In movies where there is a home invasion, more often than not, the inhabitant of the home almost always desperately reach for the Louisville Slugger to ward of the home invader(s); not a handgun, or in my case a defense /offence modified shotgun, fully loaded with 12 gauge double-ought buckshot.
