You also appear to be someone that is not a native of Beaufort County, someone who knows nothing of one who practices exhibiting the humility of real intelligence rather than the full fusillade of your bombastic blasts, which is your standard.
The real truth: Stan Deatherage and Hood Richardson, over the previous 35 years, have done as much, or far more than anyone you know to further the Real Republican party here in Beaufort County. That is just a plain inarguable fact that you do not have the raw command of wisdom to be familiar with due to, as per your usual, "ignorance is bliss" syndrome.

Commented on Queen Garris Runs Amuck AgainVan Zant: Shirley Richardson contacted me this morning to render information that I am on the acrimonious receiving end of many slanderous attacks, all at the hands of the Beaufort County GOP, primarily on their Beaufort County GOP FB Page, a page that they are entirely responsible for ... So, I took a look, and was humored to find out that I am specifically being honored and accused of being you - the wise wonderkind Van Zant.
Also on the Beaufort County GOP FB Page, of which they are entirely responsible for, I am being slandered by a confirmed discontent of truthful living, who did part of a job for me, walked off without finishing, and then boldly attempted to shake-me-down for money he did not earn. This is outright slander, whereby when I was taken to court as the defendant to pay money I did, and never owed NOT owe, I, alternatively, won that case by representing myself, and the truth, Pro Se, thereby by winning by the plaintiff's desire for a Voluntary Dismissal of his case against me. That was his one smart move regarding his dealings with me. A word to the wise: If you have the honor and responsibility to do work for me, you will not take advantage of me ... Likewise, I do all within my power to protect my constituents from the abject irresponsible stupidity that bad governing abjectly offers, and yes that is exactly how RINOs govern, and RINOs are at the core of the Beaufort County GOP. The Beaufort County GOP promoting this scurrilous attempt to defraud me is how the Beaufort County GOP considers supporting me, and YOU, my constituents. If the promotion of slander is how the Carolyn Garris's GOP affords me support, then this is not new ... The Beaufort County GOP politically slandered me in the 2022 General Election, and Carolyn Garris did absolutely nothing to rectify this transgression. So, thank-you VanZant for spilling your constant truth about an impossible situation, where people who are NOT from here run the Beaufort County GOP like fools and petulant children. In fact, I am absolutely honored to be considered you, and furthermore ... Carolyn Garris should resign her chairmanship for party disloyalty, plain and simple, for what she has become a party to in what has become of the once venerable Beaufort County GOP. Working to do Real Republicans great political harm is NO way to run a local county GOP.

My problem with the Beaufort County GOP is that they do NOT support the current GOP Plan of Organization when it does not suit them to do so, and then they attempt to employ the GOP Plan of Organization in a hamfisted manner to deal with those pesky Conservatives that are in a position of their continual disfavor.
The crux of this inescapable dilema of grand hypocrisy within the Beaufort County GOP, as witnessed by real Conservatives, is simply that on the Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners, there are 3 Conservatives of varying qualities, and 2 undisputable RINOs, who loyally govern as the Center-Left /Left Coalition ... Those who swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County (that power shared with the 2 Democratic Socialists on the board of commissioners). These RINOs are in the continual good graces of the inner core of the Beaufort County GOP. If you are concerned with higher taxation, and an end to Limited Voting here in Beaufort County, you will get NO help from the Center-Left /Left Coalition, which means the Beaufort County GOP, acting as an accessory to that controlling coalition of two abject RINOs and two Democratic Socialist, are entirely culpable in the non conservative governing on the Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners, where Conservative votes representing Conservative issues fail by a tally of 3 to 4 (those 4 votes being those of the Center-Left /Left Coalition).

Commented on Queen Garris - Déjà vu “All Over Again”Van Zant: Of course, these are my sentiments exactly.
People of Beaufort County: Until the Beaufort County GOP turns itself around and toward the light of transparency, you would be wise to be distrustful of their ambitions. Also, The FB post still exists; however, there are "hard copies" of the Statement. Here is mine below: "STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN CAROLYN GARRIS OF THE BEAUFORT COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY: The Beaufort County Republican Party exists for one purpose -- that is to get Republicans elected. I was very disappointed to read the latest Facebook comments by non-Republican Washington City Councilman Joe Davis where he blames the Beaufort County GOP Victory Committee for the City of Washington's current leadership crisis. Davis seems to feel the Republican Party is to blame because the sole GOP member of the council is young and a relative newcomer to politics, while harping that Republican strategy cost seats in last November's election. That is asinine. So is Joe Davis. Joe Davis voted against a tax cut he promised the voters. Now he wants former mayor Donald Sadler, defeated in the last election by the will of the voters, to fill the vacant city council seat after attacking his policies during the campaign. When the just fired city manager threatened to hold Davis accountable for violating city ordinances with his questionable business practices it was clear the man's tenure would be short-lived. So how did all of this happen? Last November’s City of Washington municipal races were decisive and I feel it is important for the people of Washington, and Beaufort County, to know the difference between the actual party and a group who calls themselves the Beaufort County Republican Conservative Club. The Beaufort County Republican Party has very strict rules which require us to support Republican candidates at all levels of office, which also includes “non-partisan” races. The Club which is run by Hood Richardson and supported by Stan Deatherage, and his publication Beaufort County Now and its sister the beaufortobserver.net, do not adhere to the same rules as required of the county party. Historically the club and those publications have supported many non-Republican candidates over the years and recruits these candidates via signs posted along the public road with no vetting other than one simply calling them up. The party recruited and supported five Republicans for City Council. We worked hard to support each and every candidate and did so in a manner to promote true Republican and Conservative causes. The paid campaign materials approved by the Victory Committee such as radio ads and mailers promoted all five Republicans running for city council evenly and fairly. We were aware of the political reality that getting all five seats was nearly impossible however every one of our candidates was supported just as hard as the ones who were elected. And we have no regrets for doing just that. Here is where the confusion lies. Hood and Stan’s PAC Club and online political publications acts as a defacto propaganda arm of this group that heavily supported and promoted then Candidate Joe Davis and viciously attacked one of the Republican candidates. There was much confusion in the community due to citizens not understanding the difference between the actual party itself and the Political Action Committee club and these named political propaganda sites run by Richardson and Deatherage. Richardson and Deatherage have worked hand in hand on the county commission for decades while their PAC/publications combination often serves to obfuscate the true facts. Foremost, the party could not promote nor endorse Davis because he is not a member of the Republican Party. Secondly many rank and file Republicans had severe concerns regarding Davis and his very disturbing behavior at the Board of Elections once early voting began. To say that Davis’ tenure on the City Council has been problematic and heavily scrutinized by the community would be an understatement. I have had many people reach out to me and members of our team with multiple concerns about the questionable behavior of Davis as an elected official. To be crystal clear once more: Joe Davis is not a Republican but is a registered Unaffiliated candidate recruited by the club and supported by Richardson and Deatherage. The Beaufort County Republican Party in no way supported nor endorsed Davis. The actions and behavior of Davis as an elected official have indeed drawn criticism and rightfully so. His candidacy and election was not due to the Republican Party but rests solely with Hood Richardson and Stan Deatherage and they should be examined for their intentions and motives in supporting this non-Republican in such a vital race. Joe Davis is not the type of individual a true conservative Republican would support; his attacks on the minority community and those of other religious beliefs are beyond the pale and should be called out by the citizenry. The bottom line is the taxpayers here in Beaufort County are being burned at the stake with massive tax increases causing even more hardship to our fellow citizens while so-called political leadership plays vendetta games. Now Joe Davis is making noise about bringing the defeated Democratic Party mayor back into city government while a few political insiders, a couple who have been in elected office for decades, continue to govern with the tired political shell game that has gotten us where we are today. Joe Davis is not a Republican. Hood and Stan’s club nor publications are not part of the Republican Party. So why are they in such an awful hurry to replace an outgoing Republican council member with a defeated Democrat? Surely there aren’t more land deals going around?" Stan Deatherage Carolyn Garris, as chairman of the Beaufort County GOP, you should know better than to promote what is not true, especially against a Real Republican such as myself, who is running for office. You should resign immediately.

Commented on Queen Garris - Déjà vu “All Over Again”With the Beaufort County GOP fully under the control of the continual political guile of local RINOs and RINO Whisperers, I foresaw this happening, again, that the RINO rich Beaufort County GOP (those who will NEVER support fully the Republican Party platform) would thus attack me yet again in this election season, just as they did in the 2022 General Election.
Chairman Carolyn Garris should resign immediately. This will serve as my second request. A note to the public: Do NOT take the inner core of the Beaufort County GOP seriously as Real Republicans ... not unless you are a grand supporter of RINOs and RINO Whisperers, who will work predominately to elect candidates who will raise your taxes, and do the bidding of the status quo of heavy handed "bi-partisanship." This is their history to do so. What we need in Beaufort County's governments are real Conservatives, not beholding to any special interest, who will cut wasteful spending, and choose wise policy over the RINO predilection to "Swap Votes (with Democratic Socialists) to Share Power here in Beaufort County."

Going forward, let's see how well the Beaufort County GOP handles their campaign for real Republicans on those local candidates listed on our county's ballots in this off year election.
It is legend that the inner core of the BC GOP has worked against me, and my Conservative constituents, in the past previous elections. Let's all observe just how much the BC GOP does in this election to specifically get out the vote, which helps politicians like myself - those that are honest in character, and consistent in their deeds of endeavoring to always perform as promised.

What I encountered, rather, was Councilman Tyre's request for me to educate him on the nature of what Revenue Neutral encompasses.
