Washingtonian: The Center-Left Coalition of the Beaufort County Commissioners voted that it remain hidden as long as they are in power.

RINO Hunter: I am well satisfied that few school board members showed up to act at the Beaufort County Republican Convention.

First, the majority of them pay little attention to detail, and therefore, are slaves to the status quo.

Second, the majority of them do what they are told rather than think through semi complex situations or policy issues.

Third, the majority of them are no friends of transparency in self-governing as proved by the public communications within their public meetings.

Fourth, the majority of them rarely work in concert with what is conservative in ideology and, likewise, prudent in practice.

Fifth, of the four elected Republicans at the convention voting to successfully expand the transparent reach of the Executive Committee, of those that remained to vote, only one was a Conservative - Charles Hickman.

Remember these truths about the infamous 4 acres of land:

First - If Beaufort County Schools had done their "homework" before considering the design of a 52 million school that they actually do NOT need, they would have known that they did not have title to all of the property thought owned, and then they could have elected to design beyond that real property encumbrance.

Secondly - If the successful and innovative designing around that reality of not owning land was undesired, the Beaufort County Schools could have negotiated, at no cost, a trade for one piece of unneeded land, owned by the schools, for another piece of unneeded land by The City of Washington, all at NO cost to Beaufort County's taxpayers.

Third - Since neither the successful negotiation for land was enacted, or an innovative design on land known to have not been owned was performed, the Schools asked the pathetically incompetent Center-Left Coalition, within the Beaufort County Commission, to waste $500,000.00 for overpriced land that was never needed to be purchased and paid for in the first place.

I do believe that I have professed the history of this sorry bit of terrible governing, properly delivered in its essential formation, as an allegory of how NOT to govern, by representation of, our self-governed People.

Well said Buzz.

You mentioned a handful of the core problems here in Beaufort County, and I am in full agreement, especially you declaration: "The expanded Republican executive committee now has the horsepower to change these weak city, county and school boards. (Not to throw everyone out) but to do a better job of vetting and electing competent leaders who have leadership, and business & common sense."

Yesterday, I did a podcast titled - The Blind Challenge - where I was asked this blind question: 'What is the biggest encumbrance to setting Beaufort County right for a brighter future?'

My thoughtful answer, after nearly 33 years in Republican politics and nearly 25 years as a county commissioner was: 'The pathetically weak Beaufort County GOP over these last few decades, and how the continual election of weak, unvetted, and intellectually inadequate politicians to serve, along with some of us who truly care to be thoughtful in our promised representation, is a huge detriment to our self-governed progress on a far more Conservative path.'

Good piece of writing Eastern Carolina Avenger.

Oh the imagery giving pause to remember years ago when I was the First Mate on the H.M.S. Hood.

Thanks for the historical /civics context Steve; however, one fact is assured in what you and I both wrote here, which confirms this one truth: James Boasberg is not qualified to be appointed as a federal judge.
Commented: Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 @ 8:02 am By: Stan Deatherage
This is a perfect example of why Republicans should slow down approving Democratic Socialist judges, especially ones like James Boasberg, who do not understand how the Constitution works.

"Fake Frankie" can hang out with whomever he wishes; he can vote however he desires, but when the Democrat Commissioner tries hide beneath the protective wing of the local GOP, after dumping all over the party platform for nearly a decade, and that disloyal protection continues, "there will be Hell to pay" somewhere, by someone until all is right in the world of Real Republicans here in Beaufort County.

After Saturday's Republican Convention, his asylum from reality is cancelled or will be very soon.

Steed, I agree: We take the Knockoff Republicans out in elections; however currently, the idiot Republicans in the local GOP support RINOs over Conservatives, so the public does not have a true understanding as to what is real.

Almost every time the idiot, Jody Forest, told someone I was not a real Republican, but a RINO, they told me of such comments, and I used it against the Beaufort County GOP since I was in an election for the People, not the stupid GOP members that coddled traitorous RINOs within the ranks of that ineffective Beaufort County GOP.

That was an untenable situation and must be changed right now.

I have to wonder just how high those salaries will be once DOGE begins to whittle Planned Parenthood down to a more manageable size, then gone.

Every taxpayer dollar given to Planned Parenthood is tainted with felonious fraud, a grande fraud in full view of everyone who can actually think.

RINO Hunter: Frankie Waters is a Democrat; Randy Walker is a Democrat. I do not even think of them as RINOs any longer.

They joined the Republican Party so they could fulfill their dreams of growing up to become a Beaufort County Commissioner; by slithering upon their path as an insidious interlopers in this political party that people like Steve Rader, Hood Richardson and Stan Deatherage built here in Beaufort County, each to achieve election as Republicans simply because they could not get elected with an uppercase D by their names; then, as any person with a full working brain can recognize, they govern as Democrats; therefore, I know them as Democrats.

Each year in December, when it is time to vote for leadership positions on the county commission, they caucus with the Democratic Socialists on that board of commissioners, combining their ideals to become the Center-Left Coalition, where these Knockoff "Republicans" swap votes for leadership positions to share power throughout the year; continuing to vote in lockstep on major issues to keep their Center-Left Coalition in unison, ergo, the People of this county will pay higher taxes ... It already has happened, it is unavoidable going forward.

The Republican Party Platform allows NONE of this behavior, yet it has existed for decades here in Beaufort County because of continued pathetically weak leadership within the Beaufort County GOP.

The beginning of the end this abhorrent behavior has just begun. RINO Hunter, you are not the only RINO Remover here in Beaufort County.

Still, Party Disloyalty has NO Statute of Limitations.

I have had a belly full of the decades of Party Disloyalty, and I expect that to be solved immediately so that being an elected Republican, a Real Republican in Beaufort County, will mean something again.

The Beaufort County GOP now has the opportunity to make full amends and start acting as a real Republican party, and I expect it to do so pretty quick, or the Beaufort County GOP will continue to remain USELESS.

Good one Will.

Everyone that feels that their appraisal is wrong should file an appeal with the Tax Assessor's office before mid April ... And, the sooner the better is advised.

Schumer and every Democratic Socialist leader, and politician: local, state and federal are prime evidence as to why the Democratic Socialist party is the "walking dead."

If all you have as a policy, over the nearly last 9 years, is to fight President Trump to stop him from being the great, strong president that he is manifesting in his every bold act; as he strenuously endeavors to save this Republic, then everyone with a full working brains knows that the Left is losing, and have lost for so terribly long.

Irrespective of the state where Leftist controlled universities and colleges exist, most states suffer from the inadequate "education" that is provided in so many of the curriculums available to so many students, so poorly educated, at such a great expense to their families and, or, we the taxpayers.

It is truly a shame and must change. Thank God for the Trump administration at least trying to guide "higher learning" to a far more effective existence.

History and Civics: These two subjects are some of the most important information to prepare young minds, who will need to shield their conscious awareness from the indoctrination of PHDs from the collegiate power of higher learning, many of which are failing in their mandate to educate.

It certainly looks like the Sanctuary County of Buncombe is making the news in the guise of the Sanctuary City of Asheville.

North Carolina's Republican Party has some big work ahead of it, where it has decidedly failed in the past.

With the Beaufort County revaluation a major topic everywhere I go here in Beaufort County, and I am ever at the ready to discuss the revaluation and other county issues relative to my functionary duties as a county commissioner at any time, I can definitively tell the public of this public square this one truth: The new unneeded school using mostly "Free Money" NOW in these costly days of building, which could have been available later for more worthy, more cost effective and necessary projects, coupled with the half million dollars to save the project because the administration of Beaufort County chose not plan properly, is NOT going over well with the public at large across this county of Beaufort.

As public officials wasting tax dollars is being found out, maybe the taxpayers one day, at large, will have the gumption to make the time to know what is truly occurring in their local governments, know the poor players working on their behalf, and, accordingly, the political interlopers who do NOT function as governing officials as they held themselves out to be ... And then maybe, just maybe, the self-governed folks of Beaufort County will provide me smarter county commissioners to serve with, and a real governing school board of knowledge, who, like the smarter county commissioners, can then hire better bureaucrats who know their place, and they know too who they ultimately serve - the self governed taxpayers of this county.

These non patriot fools in New York did incredibly practice lawfare, so ruthlessly, against Candidate Donald Trump as to destroy his candidacy and his family's business, that he then successfully counteracted their evil force of terrible intent against them to inspiringly take back the presidency, and thus begin the process to save America from the likes of these "Democratic" Demons.

Far too many Democratic Socialist lawyers in New York City, who hate America, contritutes mightily to New York being the most corrupt state in this Constitutional Republic.

Van Zant: Having served with, and against, the Center-Left Coalition, those whose who swap votes to share power here in Beaufort County, in some various iteration of theirs for the last nearly 15 years, I have had the great displeasure of learning how to exist in slow successful measures, while begrudgingly working with these intellectually challenged political figures.

And, while the Center-Left Coalition does some incredibly stupid stuff, in both word and deed, Commissioner Richardson and I, however deeply frustrated we may appear outwardly, well know how to keep these self-styled marianets in their appointed self-constructed box.

Accordingly, the current school board needs to begin the process to form a coalition of Republican badasses to begin what will begin the intense process of forming a shadow political insurgency to remove those among themselves, who could never lead these public schools out of the deep shadows in which they are now intellectually and politically enshrouded.

I honestly know in the deepest recesses of my optimistic political heart that we are just one election away from a conservative revolution here on the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners, and in that same note of optimism, I am hopeful for the Beaufort County School Board as well.

Van Zant: If anyone deserves the right to be publicly angry with these intellectually deprived members of the Center-Left Coalition, it is me; however, I am honor bound to do the People's business during these public meetings, and I shall never "grind my personal /business axe" on the People's time.
