Hood, you are almost correct about your statement, "There is some good news in the political battle between conservative Republicans and RINOs. During the 2020 and 2022 elections more than half of the total votes cast were for conservative Republican candidates."
First, I thought your optimistic estimate was too low; then when I thought better of it, in retrospect, I realized that your estimate was too high in a sense of optimism due to the Democrat-turned-Republican-promising-Conservatism paradigm. It is not panning out, and it never truly has. There is one note of optimism, this platform is reaching more people with the real truth, and so is your Beaufort County Conservative Republican PAC.

Everyone can join Eastern NC NOW and receive the status of User, some can be upgraded to the status of Writer and submit posts for publication by using one of two editors offered, which has far better publishing tools than Fakebook. And then there is the Private Messaging system that I use continually to communicate with others that use this platform as one of their top messaging systems. Join, and you can check a box to remain logged in. This system is an alternative to social media for many. We certainly have a far easier system to use as an informational archive since we spread it wide by employing the variation of categories.

Commented on Insanity by the Beaufort County School BoardWill: Here is the crazy part. They are proposing to noisily build this unneeded school in a space adjoining the current Eastern Elementary, then tear down the school after the new school is built at a staggering price of 383.00 per square foot on land that is not at the highest point of the campus.
I have lived the vast majority of my life in Beaufort County, and the strict rule of thumb is that one always build on the highest ground available.

I agree about Mr. Trump, but he was a good president (best since RWR), and he is tough and smart, and he may be exactly what God is ordering up for us right now, and what we absolutely need.
Governor DeSantis has no chance this time; the Leftists only have Idiots-in-Waiting, so we push Mr. Trump over the top.

Then that makes total sense Will.
Leftists like to believe that they are educated to a point that they have a true command of the English language, which now is morphing into some Orwellian projection of Dystopia if one does their insipid lead on issues that they could never understand at their core. One must be careful of the Non Patriot Left's true intentions when it comes to words.

Gary Patrick Tucker: I have absolutely no problem with the "rich tapestry of perspectives in Beaufort County," in fact, I embrace it. Where my problem lies with what you are referring as the "5-2" is that there has been in Beaufort County politics, for decades, is a misrepresentation of presentation of who is who, and what is what. From a functional perspective, this ongoing paradigm of fakery, there has been: corruption in order for individual politicians to succeed; the bipartisan coalition of vote swapping for power sharing between parties; in remaining elected; with the end result is a branding problem individually and collectively.
All I am doing as a politician, and, moreover, a journalist is that I point out what is true and what is real. So, within that "rich tapestry of perspectives in Beaufort County," what I represent to the public is the perspective of honest discourse, and clarity of purpose, to which i encourage others to do the same. You see, if one is to be that political voice for their constituents, it is better to be an honest one. Singularly, if one is to believe in something such as the Republican Party of Beaufort County, then it needs to be real in its pursuits, which it clearly is not. To that end, in the election process, where there are two functioning political parties, both with platforms of ideals and conduct of elected officials: there are the Democratic Socialists and there are the Republicans here in the county of Beaufort. I am not in charge of this construct, and generally have had little time to help forge those collected rules for the Republicans; however, I know what they are, and I do abide by those idyllic rules of political purpose. In turn, I expect fellow Republicans to do the same. When that does not occur, and then, first there exists a cover up, which then becomes a collective lie, the truth will be told by those who are honest for the public has not only a right to know, moreover, the public is charged with a responsibility to know what is true and what is real. That is the only construct where the self-governed can continue to exist within the framework of a Representative Republic. That is, in part, why the First Amendment provides for a Free Press. In the Public Square of Ideals only truth can exist for wisdom to flourish. If I am wrong Gary Patrick Tucker, please tell me where and how, and please be specific.

Commented on Partners in DemocracyWhat concerns me most from this post, where the subject is stated within this phrase "there was almost unanimous consensus that Donald Trump was the biggest threat to Democracy any had known in their lifetime," speaks volumes regarding the fact there exists this level of abject stupidity within 50 miles of the geographical center of Beaufort County. This level of ignorance, of hypocrisy meeting as a concerned group to comfortably agree with one another, and to re-affirm this incredible level of a wanton lack of public awareness regarding President Donald Trump, as their accompanying Boogey Man, should concern all Americans that the Democratic Socialist Propagandist Media is certainly dumbing down its avid consumers.
Even though the discussion of the "Principles of Democracy" has some broad points of merit; however, taken individually as ideals, one should first ask: Are these precepts being practiced by Democratic Socialists? The answer is a resounding NO. Donald Trump, on the other hand, by his deeds alone, exhibits a far more reasonable practice of knowing how a free self-governed Good People should be represented. Alternatively, Democratic Socialists created a collusive environment of corruption, under the compliant cover of covid, where mass cheating in 2020 General Election gave America, and the World, Idiot President Biden. Furthermore, in an exact point, this nation has never been a "Democracy." This nation has always been either a Constitutional Republic, or a Representative Republic, both nearly the same in a politically democratic sense; however, these States United have never been a "Democracy." All American citizens should know better, regardless of how often this false statement of "nation as a Democracy" is overly uttered.

John Valley: Oh, the "5-2" you speak of is the number of Real Republicans versus the Center - Left Coalition of like minded politicians, who caucus as a voting block on essential bipartisan inspired /Democratic Socialist issues.
A version of that political equation has existed for nearly two decades here in Beaufort County, and NO, I am not nervous of that long standing paradigm because I fully realize that there many Real Republicans in Beaufort County, all whom well understand the RINO problem that does exist here locally, and are hopeful that this very real situation will become common knowledge among the electorate. In case you are not aware: My election vote total in the 2022 general was the highest I have ever received in a Limited Voting contest (my candidacy as my constituents' voice led all Republicans on that ballot), so I do fully realize that I have a constant constituency, who vote for me for a variety reasons, but chief among them is that I Do NOT vote swap with Democratic Socialists on issues important to Leftists. Accordingly, I will not change what I hold myself out to be; however, this publication (the largest in the history of Beaufort County) of which we have created from "soup to nuts" from total scratch, is on a very fine rise, and the truth is being heard more and more by locals and those from a far distance. Therefore, In all functional truth: Sunlight is the greatest political disinfectant; these journals are a permanent archives of all that is topical and is real.

Carolyn Garris: No one is disputing the essential need for electronic recordation; the issue is the absolute need for hard copies if there should be an Electronic Magnetic Pulse (EMP), massive solar flares (not unlike the Carrington event of 1859); or probably more eventual, the weaponized hacking of the governmental informational infrastructure.
With North Carolina being one of two Race to Record states, it is critical to protect the continuation of accessible recorded documents, regardless of the condition of the electric grid; regardless of the viability of data stored on solid state drives.

I interviewed NC Treasury Secretary Dale Folwell yesterday, which will be featured on Eastern NC NOW early next week.
I met Dale some time ago when he was running for elected office, and have talked to him at political /governing events many times over the years, especially the ones I attend in Raleigh; however, I never fully realized how deep his governing well ran until I interviewed him for about 25 minutes on Friday, January 12th, of which I will provide a transcript with some Zoom video. It will be a most informative article for those seeking real information to aid in their making the right decision for the Republican nominee for North Carolina's governor here in the 2024 general election.
