Senators Jacob Howards explanation of 14th amendment;
During the debates in the Senate on May 30, 1866, Howard explained the Citizenship Clause: "This amendment which I have offered is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons." Long Live MAGA!

That poll on the American people's support for ending citizenship by birth alone shows that Jeff Jackass, err, Jackson is completely out of touch with citizens.

Our legislature specifically voted that none of our taxpayer money was to be used for these political lawsuits by the Attorney General, and he is brazenly defying our law in taking part in this lawsuit. He needs to be removed from office. We cannot have an AG who brazenly defies the law. Throw the bum OUT!

What is it with Democratic Socialist lawyers: Do they lose their patriotic zeal once elected, or are they always that way?

This birthright citizenship issue only relates to foreign citzens, not US citizens. The child of a US citizen is itself a US citizen due to the nationality of one or both of its parents, no matter where it is born. So why is this rotten state attorney general spending the money of US citizen taxpayers to go support the interests of foreign citizens? He is betraying the people who elected him.

The left in their misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution want to ignore the key phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof". There is no absolute birthright citizenship. If one looks at the legislative history of the 14th amendment, which is necessary to understand its meaning, it's authors specifically did NOT intend for the amendment to grant unlimited birthright citizenship.
I am sure this issue will end up in the Supreme Court, and I suspect that the majoriy there will not ignore the legislative history of the 14th amendment or that key phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof".

Jeff Jackson is thumbing his nose at North Carolina law and at North Carolina taxpayers to go on an extreme left national poltiical crusade for illegal aliens. He badly needs to be impeached and removed from office.
