The problem with Todd Blanche, for RINO Tillis, is that Attorney Blanche is so very much smarter than Thom and he has character, two things that Thom has been shown to lack.

Just when I had about gotten to the point I could hold my nose for Whatley, a RINO who would be Tillis 2.0, the original Tillis is now making that much more difficult. Roy Cooper is terrible, and I wish we had a real alternative like Don Brown would have been.

What is Tillis Smoking? He knows he is a short-timer. Did some Dumocrate offer him a job?

John, that is not the worst thing. They limited their search to career bureaucrats and shut out those with private sector management experience. Private sector managers strive for efficient cost-effective operations while career bureaucrats tend to be empire builders who care nothing about efficiency. They sought absolutely the wrong qualifications in a county manager, and , well, they found them.

So, to sum it up, they couldn't find anybody here so they went to the next county over?

That ought to say something.

From what I hear from local teachers, most of them ARE members of the NCAE teachers union, which is the state affiliate of the national NEA teachers union. Both are heavily involved in leftwing politics unrelated to education issues.

I have not heard if there is an organized local chapter of the NCAE teachers union beyond local teachers just being members of the state unit of the union. However, it was clear that teachers were heavily involved in the campaigns of two NCAE members for our Beaufort County School Board who won nominations in GOP primaries over conservative school board incumbents.

Would Beaufort County teachers support our females?

"Complaint Sparks US Dept of Education Title IX Investigation into NC School District

WASHINGTON, DC – May 13, 2026, America First Legal (AFL) filed a formal complaint with the US Dept of Ed and the US Dept of Justice, alleging that policies enacted by Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) in Concord, NC, violate Title IX, FERPA, and the US Constitution. The Dept of Ed’s Office for CivilRights (OCR) announced that it launched an investigation in response to AFL’s complaint.

AFL’s complaint exposed CCS’s policies permitting “gender expansive and transgender students” to access sex-segregated intimate facilities based on “gender identity” rather than biological sex. One female student attending Cox Mill High School raised concerns during a public school board meeting that a biological male student “identifying” as female participated on the girls’ football and basketball cheer teams and used the girls’ locker rooms & restrooms."

(WITN) - "A new county manager has been sworn in to serve Beaufort County, a month before County Manager Brian Alligood is set to retire from the seat on June 30.

Tim Corley was sworn in Monday night, bringing with him 28 years of experience in government, working in the western part of the state in the City of Gastonia, and in Eastern Carolina with the City of Greenville, and in Pitt County as a deputy county manager.

Commissioners who voted against hiring Corley previously expressed concern because he would not be required to live in Beaufort County and would be allowed to work a second job in addition to the new role."

Beaufort County's two RINO commissioners, Frankie Waters and Randy Walker, raised spending by 4.7 million this budget period of 070126 to 063027 after last year's harsh revaluation, and then voted against the Ending of Limited Voting for the second month in a row ... just to add insult to the permanent injury of their political character ... As RINOs.

I think the biggest pile of dinosaur s*** in the middle of the room here is, again, how do you justify increasing taxes to build two Metropolis Mega schools when you don't even have the students to justify building them?

Nobody has brought this up since all the other hoohoo has been in public conversation; ain't that somethin'?

The two Metropolis Mega dump site proposal got shot down because of.....an increase in cost. Hmmm..riddle me this, Alfred: if the cost of the dump sites went up, wouldn't that mean the cost of other shit, shit needed to build a school, has gone up too? Odds are it's probably doubled, wouldn't ya say?

It don't take Batman to figure out that somebody doesn't know what the hell they're doing and it's costing us a lot of bread; bread we ain't got.

• "Trump's $50B rural health bet meets a HEALTHCARE DESERT in North Carolina (northcarolinahealthn ews.org) — Greenville's ECU Health Medical Center is straining under surging ER demand as nearby Martin County's hospital closure forces more rural patients into the city's only Level 1 trauma center east of Raleigh. Local leaders and ECU Health executives are lobbying for funding, but say Trump's new $50 billion rural health program won't reopen Martin General or quickly ease Greenville's long ER wait times."
+++++
Why would any thinking human choose to relocate to a Regional HEALTHCARE DESERT such as we have here locally? Is the plan to eliminate most humans in coastal NC? Let us die off for lack of medical care, and tax to death the rest of the humans here.

"Hate speech" is an Orwellian term used by totalitarians who hate FREE SPEECH. "Hate symbol" seems to be the same.

Randy Walker is a full pledged RINO and full blown liberal, as is his wife on the school board. No question about that, but when it comes to the Senate race, Roy Cooper is just so awful that one has to hold their nose for Whatley. Yeah, Whatley was a bad NCGOP chairman. Yeah, Whatley is closer to Tillis than we would like, but Whatley at least has enough of a political debt to Trump that I cannot see him going against Trump during the next two years, and that is a very critical time period. Don Brown would have been a MUCH better nominee to beat Cooper, but he lost. I hope Don will be running for Attorney General in 2028, but we are stuck with either Whatley or Cooper for Senate in 2026, and Whatley is the lesser of the evils. I very much dislike a "lesser of the evils" choice, but Cooper is so bad, there is just no other viable option this time.

The Beaufort County meet and greet with Michael Whatley appeared to be a "Victory Committee" event. I wonder if Perreault and R. Walker are full-fledged members now or affiliates like Dority.

"Michael Whatley meets with local officials in Beaufort County.
Washington City Councilman Max Perreault said Whatley’s campaign reached out to him to host the meet and greet.
A campaign spokesperson for Roy Cooper, Whatley’s Democratic opponent, said in response to the visit: “Roy Cooper is running to deliver lower costs for working families in Beaufort County and across North Carolina.”
Perreault and the Beaufort County sheriff also spoke at the breakfast meet and greet event."

OH REALLY? Its more likely that Whatley reached out to the Local GOP, who then reached out to their inside man Perreault. Who they may be cultivating as part of their secret committee, useful idiot, and shadow Govt. (There are pictures of participants at the link.)

It looks like the extreme left hates historic and national flags everywhere. Here they diss many Revolutionary War flags including the Gadsden flag, the 13 star Betsy Ross flag, and others, and historic Confederate flags. They even burn the current American flag. In the UK, they diss the Union Jack and the St. Andrews Cross flag of England. In Canada, it is their Red Ensign. Yet they want to shove things like their "pride flag" is our faces or wave foregin flags at their riots for illegal aliens.

If these anti-democratic thugs get their way, it may soon be illegal to display the longtime national flag of Canada, and at the same time illegal to object to the obnoxious "pride flag". How long until they declare Canada a "people republic"?

Three ENC sites fail this week’s Swim Guide tests
May 29, 2026 By WITN Web Team
Those sites were the Washington waterfront and Havens Gardens in Washington on the Tar-Pamlico River and Slocum Creek in Havelock on the Neuse River.
Isnt it time for Washington Govt to dazel us with all their expertise?? Surely we pay them enough. Why would anyone want to live here? They tax us to death, while they watch the city slowly rot away. There are not the needed doctors, or even the laborers willing to live here and take jobs keeping our homes up. There is a shortage of everything, except for members of the bureaucratic machine. We thought we were getting a new City Council, but instead got one which was quickly indoctrinated by that bureaucratic machine. Every lawyer in town is part of that machine.
A.I wont do anything to humans that these bureaucrats havent already done. "Manage the humans"...ignore them until they become nothing more than bank accounts for the City Machine.

AI has no place in the Arts, it has no soul and removes the human element from the equation. Imperfections and "mistakes" make music/art special. I can't tell you how many legendary riffs have come from f-ups and producers deciding to "keep it on the tape".

I agree that AI, with strict oversight, can be used for the purposes of good BUT if unregulated, you'll see why and how places like Atlantis fell from grace.

B&N hasn't been worth a crap for almost 20 years. They are a footnote of American Culture now. We used to meet girls there, get our music magazines and graphic novels.....but those times have long since passed.

Maybe that German prosecutor's theory was that the pensioner was insulting morons by comparing them to a lousy politician.

We need to be careful because there are too many on the other side of the aisle here in American who would love to put a straight jacket on the free speech of Americans.
