No, Bob, I am talking about Robinson's REAL baggage, NOT the fabrications of the dishonest Democrat media. Those are poor business management of both a day care and Balanced Nutrition, and his history of bankruptcies, not paying taxes, and worthless checks. To innoculate on that, he could have come out early and told them himself, talk about going through tough times, and how it made him a better man today. He should have also paid the holders of those checks. Voters would have forgiven that, and it would have taken the issue away from Stein. He failed to do that. He also needed to bring in some experts to get all the problems at Balanced Nutrition fixed before the campaign got going. He could have preempted most of what Stein threw at him but he failed to do it. Because he failed to do it, and Stein had been hammering him with it, the fabrications of the partisan Democrat media resonated a lot more than they should have. His campaign staff were totally incompetent.

What mattered in the DPI race was that we get our education system back to common sense and away from the woke mind virus. Morrow would have done that, while Green just takes us deeper into the pit.

Tom Homan is a great choice. He will get things moving quickly, and yes, we do need zero tolerance at the border.

The real loathsome threesome are Kamala Harris, Mo Green, and Josh Stein, all of them far left radical ideologues. We are done with Harris, fortunately, but NC is going to have a rough four years with the other pair.

Roy Cooper has been bad enough, especially with Phil Berger regularly selling out to him on major policy issues, but Cooper is not as far to the left as Stein, and has less of an ideological drive than Stein. Stein will be Cooper on steroids, and will be like having AOC or Bernie Sanders as our governor.

Mo Green is even worse, an extreme radical leftwinger and he will be in charge of educating our children. Green headed NC's equivalent of the Soros Open Society Institute, the Smith Reynolds Foundation. Like Soros, Green funded every far left crackpot proposal that came in front of him. He bankrolled the groups behind the ANTIFA / BLM riots in our state. In education, he funded far left groups on things ranging from promoting sexual content in kindergarten to trying to get school resource officers out of the schools. Green is a radical's radical.

Ok to sum that up you are saying it’s ok to be the Black Nazi, you just need to sell it better. In the case of Michelle, all the crazy stuff she said doesn't matter cause she had a good message.
Hmmm, I think this only supports my position that Trump is an outlier. It’s true he has the money to sell his grift better than the other two, but his message is essentially the same.

Mark Robinson was an awful candidate with incompetent campaign staff. Anyone with his known political baggage either has to 1) find a way to "innoculate" early in the campaign and spin it in a way that is not harmful, or 2) not run. He did neither and just hoped it would go away. When Stein took his words out of context and distorted them, Robinson's campaign failed to counter. There were issues like boys in girls sports that were there to use against Stein, and which were highly efective in races where they were used, but Robinson's campaign just ignored them. A lousy candidate with a lousy campaign organization will almost always fail, and he did.

Trump was a great candidate with a great record running against a lousy candidate with a lousy record. Even with the biased Democrat media's open help, Harris had no chance.

Morrow was a good candidate with a good message, but the baggage on Robinson hurt other GOP candidates running statewide. She also had a far left dark money group hit her hard trying unfairly to tie her to Robinson. In real life, Robinson had supported Morrow's primary opponent, and after Morrow won the primary, Robinson would often not even mention her race when he called on rally attendees to vote for the rest of the statewide GOP ticket. The dark money group was funded by the radical left national teachers unions and by Soros. As a result of this dark money campaign, NC now has our most radical far left Superintendnat of Public Instruction coming in for the next four years. God help our schools.

The Arizona court did the right thing on this one and stood by the election law as written. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pull this stunt.

2 deer killed at night within 2 days, at SAME spot.
That makes one each day of this weekend.

I think City of Washington may need a deer crossing warning sign here on west 5th street. Or... the NC transportation Dept should slow the traffic down. 50 mph speed limit here near PC Sound, where all these houses have tiny driveways, that ppl need to almost stop to turn into, is too fast.
All the overhead street lamps within the City limits, on 5th street, make deer crossing a friendly opportunity... except that at 50mph the deer are in danger from speeding vehicles.
Even without the deer being killed...its too fast, because it is just a block from the traffic light where a busy intersection is being built up with multiple businesses.

Hey Stan, may I suggest that you set up a comments board for "Daily Musings" around Washington, and Beaufort county? Local information is important to a healthy community.

NC is an interesting state. It voted for Trump, yet Mark and Michele, were soundly defeated. All three are loathsome, 3 peas in a pod and sick to their core.

Fascinating that 2 were rejected but one accepted. Maybe someone on here has some insight but it gives me hope orange boy is the outlier.

The administrator at FEMA who sent out that text has now been fired but she says she was scapegoated and it came from higher up in FEMA. The Trump administration is going to have its hands full straightening out these corrupted federal agencies.

The question is increasingly being asked if this also happened in North Carolina:

Harris had pleanty of time to get her message out!! She jusy didn't have a message that most of the country wanted! She knew that if she told what she really had planned if she became President that she wouldn't get voted in!! That is the reason for so many word salads! She couldn't tell what she really wanted to do so she just talked all around the questions and then the word salad was invented! That was all on her and the ones that were telling her not to answer the questions!
They do need to audit her campaign! I am sure that there are discrepancies!

All things considered, the Robinson campaign was possibly the worst for a Republican in the history of North Carolina for that most important of a seat of governor. Mark Robinson's political career is over for any major seat.

Why? His campaign was incredibly pathetic, and he bears responsibility too. I have a Raleigh friend (one of my wife's best childhood friends, but I like her too), who had a huge fundraiser for Mark, and I just have to wonder how she feels right now about how her time and money was spent.

One day, I shall ask her.

Dale Folwell would have won that seat, and that is why I voted for and supported Dale in the primary. Plus, I know Dale, and I know that he is solid.

The upcoming German election will be an immigration election. The Christian Democrats, who had already toughened their position against illegal immigration after Merkel left, has just further toughened their position. On the left the anti-immigration BSW is eating heavily into the vote of the Social Democrats and Green and will probably wipe out the Left Party entirely.

ONe example of how totally inept Mark Robinson's campaign was can be seen by his utter failure to raise this issue against Josh (Fraken)Stein, who was very vulnerable on it. His consultants and campaign staff should NEVER be hired by any future Republican campaign.

We should encourage this. Get as much of the woke mind virus out of the country as possible. Then concentrate the rest of it in places like California and New York where they cannot screw up our elections in places like North Carolina. Let them enjoy all the illegal aliens and crime in their new homes. When the leftie women cut off the soy boys, maybe the soy boys will start thinking straight and become real men again. Every bit of this tantrum is positive for us.

It would appear that Josef Goebbels and Lord Haw Haw, as well as the faceless propagandists at Pravda of the Stalin era are the role models for America's corporate media, AKA the alphabet media. MSM should stand for Marxist Socialist Media. I think these phonies lost the last ounce of credibility and trust that anyone had in them this election. They should NEVER be allowed to run presidential debates ever again.
