And that’s the problem. GDP isn’t political. Neither is the budget or the jobs numbers. One can make them political by denying these things but where does that leave you? If you can’t even believe the numbers that everyone uses to manage the economy then you can’t govern. If you see a plot in everything, you become paralyzed and make foolish decisions.
MAGA - won’t be happy until you don’t know what to believe

Commented on The greatest threat to our public schools in NCI think a lot of local conservatives were supporting Folwell, and Robinson has the support but not the intensity of support that Folwell would have had. Robinson is great on the range of issues he has been working on, not liberal on anything I know of, but has not engaged on quite a few issues that conservatives care about. I think the more he engages on a wider range of issues, the greater intensity of support he will have.

You post what the far left generally accepts as "facts" or "truth" as distributed in your talking points. You parrot the same talking points as the far left does elsewhere.

To Bolshevik Bob, "facts" and "truth" only come from his far left talking points. If it comes from anywhere else, his feeble little mind just can't process it.

Commented on The greatest threat to our public schools in NCPolicy positions on issues are always more important than a candidate's personality or personal life. I voted for and contributed to Dale Folwell in the primary. In the general election, "end the woke curriculum in the public schools" Mark Robinson is, by far, the better choice over "boys in girls locker rooms, restrooms, and sports teams" Josh Stein.

In the sanctuary city of Chicago, over a thousand Venezuelan illegal alien criminals were arrested in just the first quarter of 2024, With Maduro opening his prisons and jails and Biden-Harris letting them in, these thugs are now a problem across America

Your comments are pretty pointless, and all lifted out of the far left talking points of the day, Bobbie. Go play Bubmle Puppy (read Huxley's "Brave New World" for instructions).

If you bothered to look at polls on public perceptions of the economy, or, heck, even talked to anyone who regularly buys energy or food, you would know that it is you, Little Bobby, who is wrond and whistling past the graveyard. The recent poor jobs report is what triggered both the Kamala Crash on the stock market and growing talk of a recession.

Commented on The greatest threat to our public schools in NCHR- the gang of 5 are the duly elected commissions who happen to not agree with you very often. At times you make good points but you're a lousy politician. The 5 clearly dislike you and I don't blame them.
At some point you have to ask, what's the point? To do right by the people you serve, or just be a cranky old guy who manages to get re-elected but gets nothing done? You could be good at what you do. It's not too late.

I think you're wrong.
Current inflation rate = 3% The stock market goes up and down. It's been around 40,000, give or take, for the past 8 years. Current unemployment rate = 4.3 % US job market expanded in June for the 42 straight month Real estate prices are not related to immigration While energy production is up, so are prices. Mixed bag. Americans waste so much its hard too feel sorry for us. We could do better. We need to move off fossil fuels and that will be expensive, however we have no choice. My point - on the whole, things are OK. Not great, but not the crisis you politically hope for.

America is already overrun with Venezuelan criminals thanks to the Biden-Harris open borders, and dictator Maduro opening his jails to send his criminals to the US. It is not surprising that this gang has moved its headquarters to our border. America is a far and rich target for them and Biden-Harris has set us up.

Commented on The greatest threat to our public schools in NCNot today's NC Democrats, Bob. The three running statewide I mentioned earlier are as far left as any Democrat in America. Yes, it was different when we had NC Democrats like Senator B. Everett Jordan, Senator Sam Ervin, Governor Dan Moore, Lt. Govenor Jimmy Green, Congressman L. H. Fountain, State Senator Vernon White, State Senator Julian Allsbrook, and others like them, but all of them are gone and there are no longer others like them in today's leftwing NC Democrat Party. That was then, but his is now. The old conservative Democrats and business Democrats voted with their feet years ago, the latter now often becoming Chamber of Commerce Republicans.

The working poor and middle class were a lot better off under Trump than under Biden-Harris. There biggest expenses, food, housing, and energy were stable under Trump but have skyrocketed under Biden-Harris. That has been caused by the radical Biden-Harris agenda on climate alarmism, open borders, and other things. And, Bobbie, your obsession with the rich shows your underlying Marxist nature.
Among the falacies of your economic statements: -the middle class are not doing well due to skyrocketing inflation - the stock market has been in the Kamala Crash the last few days; hedge funds are dumping lots of stocks and so is Warren Buffet; stock market gains under Trump were many multiples of gains under Biden-Harris, especially when adjusted for inflation, and the Kamala Crash may take them down to the point there are no gains at all under Biden-Harris - job increases under Biden-Harris have been almost all 1) part time jobs, and 2) jobs for illegal aliens; there is growing underemployment among working class Americans - real estate prices are up due to Biden-Harris open borders and this is clobbering the working poor and middle class who are renting, and also clobbering those trying to buy their first house. - energy PRICES are up significantly due to the Biden-Harris climate alarmist agenda

Commented on The greatest threat to our public schools in NCNC Democrats went pretty far to the left decades ago with elected officials like Terry Sanford and Jim Hunt, but nothing like their ultra-liberal canddiates today. You are clueless, Bob, or in denial.
The Democrat statewide ticket this years is really far to the left. For Superintendand of Public Insttuction their nominee was once the head of the far left Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, the money bags for left and far-left causes in North Carolina. For Commissioner of Labor their candidate was a leader of the BLM/ANTIFA riots in Charlotte, and there is a photo of him leading a mob confronting a line of police with his fist in the air, no shirt, and his pants pulled half way down his ass exposing his underware (jailhouse style). The Democrat candidate for Supreme Court has never worked in a law firm or public legal offfice such as a prosecutor, and her only legal experience before being appointed by Cooper as a judge was being a lawyer for the radical far left Southern Coalition for Social Justice out of Durham. The NC Democrats are giving Vladimir Lenin a run for his money in terms of how far to the left they are.
