Gavin Newsom would be an acceptable candidate for King. But I don't see it.

Like your buddy Biden, you must not be following the news on all the crime from the illegal aliens, Little BObbie. You might take a look here with lots of links: www.beaufortcountynow.com

The disaster has been Slow Joe Biden, whether on the economy, foreign policy, or just about anything else. Trump ran a good and successful administration. And what do the Democrats have waiting in the wings? Gavin Newsome? He has been an ABSOLUTE disaster in California.

At least the Tractor Supply corporate board recognizes they have a problem and need to stop the free fall in stock price. We don't need to forget they still have the same woke corporate board that enacted the DEI program to start with.

Considering BCCC, they and other educational institutions are a long way from really ending their DEI programs for show or otherwise. Also, remember that this is the culture educating our young people these days.

We need diversity of thought in public education badly. How can there even be real education going on when one extreme view is presented and virtually everything else is cancelled? We need to exhibit some real diversity in something important like hiring.

It would do you some good to look at the budget before assuming. The $1,134,319 increase from FY23 to FY24 was without SROS. The funding for SROs was already in the budget for the county. It just simply moves the expense from the schools to the Sheriff's office. I agree. The SROs was a big win for taxpayers. If you are fine with the irresponsible spending coming from their office, vote accordingly. Good stewards don't buy their desk staff $500 suits on the taxpayer dime. They don't throw $500 retirement parties for their dogs with the tax payers money. They don't stay in $350+ a night hotels when traveling on the tax payers dime. All of this is public information. Maybe you should look into it yourself before taking everything at face value.

"Trump is going to win the election and democracy will be just fine" wrote Democrat Congressman Jared Golden (D-Maine) in an op-ed column for a Maine newspaper after the debate. I agree with him.

Hmmm! I wonder if Perry's wife laid down the law to him? It is a poorly kept secret that Perry has had some "extracurricular actitivies" in Raleigh. That seems par for the course with RINOs, as we saw previously with Tim Moore.

That video showed that Tractor Supply was funding groups trying to stop illegal aliens being deported. It is a good thing that funding has been eliminated, but how many more woke companies are funding such groups?

Crime from illegal aliens keeps exploding, but is rare among legal immigrants. The difference is vetting. Legal immigrants get extensive vetting to weed out the criminals and other bad eggs. Illegal aliens get no or almost no vetting, and many criminals, gang members, and similar undesirables get in easily in most cases. Venezuela was even emptying its prisons and mental institutions across our border.

Good catch, Country Girl. That is an incredible story of how conservatives organized and brought down far left DEI at Tractor Supply. We need to do that with more companies to stop these Dumb Evil Idiots. Here is Beaufort County we need to put a stop to the DEI disease at Beaufort County Community College.

Ding dong, the witch is dead! It is great to see this despicable liberal "Republican" RINO who prostituted himself to the special interests G-O-N-E. Good riddance! He is actually more of an Undocumented Democrat. Perry not only voted bad, he was one of the kingpins of lots of liberal causes like the NC Green New Deal, Obamacare Medicaid expansion, and casinos. He sold his soul to leftwing special interests for campaign money and lacked any principled bone in his body. A government watchdog group found that Perry was one of the top legislatiots on the take from casino and marijuana special interests in the entire legislature last session. Republicans are much better off without him.

Republicans will appoint a senator to fill the vacancy so the super majority will not be lost.

Hammonds got the SROs back for the sheriff's department after a pizzing contest between Coleman and Cheeseman got those positions taken away and given ao a rent-a-cop company. That is a plus all the way round. Yes, his budget is bigger as a result.

I hope we do not end up with a sour grapes "Republican" challenger who supported the Democrat in 2022 for sheriff.

I agree that Coleman did not take the losing of his primary lightly. However, Hammonds campaigned heavily on cutting the budget. Ernie was the big spender. Hammonds spends millions over what Coleman spent in his office. The budget is a public document. Look at it. He buys $500 suits for his office staff (not LEOs). He spent 20,000+ on the app that he took from the employees incentives. He took the Drug unit off the streets for the most part giving them no overtime and 3 guys. Their unit was 6 sets of boots on the ground when Ernie was in there. He took one of his captain positions and moved his retired ST buddy over the SROs and split the drug unit and cid captain position. The approved SROs (12 positions) actually consists of 14 positions because he took a captain and lieutenant position from other departments and moved to SRO department. He does what he wants. He has 30ish positions open in his office. I wonder why?

My Dad was a self-educated man who had a lot of common sense. One thing he taught me, which I have always remembered, is "Consider the Source". We would do well to do just that as we read or listen to the internet.

You caught the Tater JS- I am in fact the supreme command er of the Democratic Party here to rule over all of you!
Good lord man - While on the left side of the political spectrum, I speak my own truth. And I'm willing to listen to your truth. We may not often agree, but it appears we share a love of country and the American experiment that is our government.

LIberal Bloomberg may not have been looking but many conservatives were. So were a lot of liberals because this case was one of the reasons that the left has been so active in attacking the Supreme Court. However a second case that came down today also is a blow to the gut of the bureaucratic administrative state, opening up opportunities to sue by weakening the statute of limitations. Together these cases are a godsend for ordinary Americans against arrogant bureaucrats and their administrative overreach.
