My wife and I have friends who left United and went with Global. It's concerning and sad when congregations don't agree and run off to start a new church. (non-Biblical disagreements) But when a large church body (national / international conference) shoots its own self in the foot [so to speak] and drives off huge numbers of their people, it's particularly saddening.

We are told in the Bible that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. His sacred Word hasn't changed. And at end of the Revelation, it's even clearly stated that anyone who adds to or takes away from the Word will be judged severely.

Other churches also change their directions, but this is not acceptable in God's sight when it comes to Biblical matters. We are even warned by the early Apostles that wolves will come in sheep's clothing. Happened Then - Still Happening Today.

Any attorney will tell you that a grand jury would indict a ham sandwich if the DA asked it to. A trial jury in a highly political trial in a jurisdiction where the target politician only got 5% of the vote is also likely to convict a ham sandwich if the name Donald Trump is on it. Add a highly unconstitutional jury charge from a politically biased judge and unconscionable restrictions on evidence the defense was allowed to present, and you have a witch's brew of reversible error. There were two remedies to get an honest and unbiased jury pool, a change of venue or a special venire, but this political judge refused. They would not have had to go that far to find a more honest and unbiased jury. Staten Island would probably have been fine.

The article above sets out solid evidence that Biden, or at least Biden's handlers WERE involved in this witch hunt against Trump.

In a politicized assault through political prosecution, the more wealth and/or power a target has, the more likely they are to be prosecuted, the more unfair the proceedings will be, and the more severe the outcome will be. In communist judicial systems after the October revolution in Russia and after commmunist takeovers in eastern Europe, or after Casto's takeover of Cuba for example, the more wealthy or powerful you had been made you much more likely to be imprisoned or shot. In the political prosecutions of Trump, it is not so much his wealth that makes him a big target as it is his political power. Retired Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz was spot on when he said the Trump Manhattan trial was the most "Sovietized" he had ever seen in America, and Dershowitz is a Democrat who voted for Biden.

A Grand Jury of ordinary people found evidence to bring him to trial. A jury of ordinary people both attys picked rendered a verdict saying he was guilty of election fraud. Trump always says he's innocent, has never ever done anything wrong nor has he "ever" done anything to apologize for in his life, really? He cheated on 3 wives!

I don't believe Biden was behind any of it as he didn't want to be blamed because he knew Trump would call foul & he did anyway. We all know Trump lies about everything. I've resigned from the Republican Party because of Trump. He is damaging our country & his party. Trump says he's innocent of any and all crimes yet he admitted to taking boxes & boxes of Top Secret documents then refused to give them back for 18 mos. The FBI coordinated w/ his secret service AND attorneys of a legal search warrant to take the documents back. Trump was in NJ & was not even in FL when that happened.

Sounds like another Cheeseman cover up, there, Washingtonian. Good catch. I would not be surprised that the Washington Daily News failed to mention this vandalism. The real question is, who will pay for it? The school superintendant is screwing the taxpayers by failing to file a police report and press charges. Those involved could be forced to pay restitution that way, and it would be a deterant to things like this happening in the future. What sort of deterant is the slap on the wrist of missing graduation? We have a liberal wussy as our superintendant. The school board needs to demand a full public report on this vandalism.

Sorry, bud, but level of wealth is an irrelevant factor in political prosecutions in politicized courts. One of the first targets of Putin's political prosecutions was a billionaire oil company oligarch who also owned some key TV stations that were not Putin-friendly. Putin had some fake charges trumped up, the oil billionaire jailed, and took away his TV stations and oil company through political prosecution. Biden has clearly learned a trick from Putin.

Here is a good article - "The Day the Democrats Putinized America"

We all need to vote for Trump if we want to save our democracy. These people quoted in the linked article all have the right idea.

The liberal MSM media are notorious liars on immigration issues. Biden has done everything he could to let these freeloaders into our country, starting with halting construction of the border wall. This executive order is just the latest lie on this issue from the dishonest MSM media. It just continues Biden's [open borders policies with a little insignificant window dressing.

The issue of large consolidated schools versus neighborhood schools has always been an issue that separates conservatives from liberals. Conservatives support neighborhood schools and that is particularly true for elementary school.

School superintendants career paths are to build their resumes to try to move up to larger and better paying school districts, and they look for things that will please the liberal education establishment as the larger districts are more likely to be run by liberals. This huge consolidated elementary school was just what Cheeseman's resume needed for his own career advancement.

We cannot overlook the role of liberal "Republican" state Superintendant Catherine Truitt in this boondoggle. She helped steer this money to big consolidated schools instead of neighborhood schools. It is good that she got bounced in the GOP primary by conservative Michelle Morrow, who will follow a conservative and Republican path in that position. Truitt's attempts to buy votes with these last minute grants just before the election did not work. Beaufort County and others that got her consolidation focused grants helped vote her out of office.

To really fix education in Beaufort County, we need to take Cheeseman's rubber stamps off of our local school board. T.W. Allen, Mack Hodges, and Eltha Booth all need to be replaced by people who will represent the citizens and taxpayers instead of being sock puppets for our liberal superintendant.

The Fani Willis hearing is another stinky situation with a political contributor judge. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, who presides over the Trump case, and his wife are both political campaign contributors to DA Fani Willis. While that raises some questions about his fairness and objectivity in the overall Trump case, it was a blatant conflict of interest for him to be ruling on the motion to remove Willis. Willis at the time was engaged in a serious primary challenge from a fellow Democrat, and McAfee's failure to remove her probably saved her bacon in that primary.

I have not read if Georgia has a specific ethics rule against political contributions by judges as New York, the federal system, North Carolina and most states do. But even if technically legal, which the contribution may or may not have been, it clearly created a huge conflict of interest for him to be ruling on a politically critical motion to the recipient of his campaign contribution. This is yet another clearly crooked Democrat judge.

A good example of how being poltiical contributors corrupts judges is to look at the Colorado Supreme Court trying to take Trump off of the election ballot, which was later unanimously reversed by the US Surpeme Court. The all-Democrat Colorado Supreme court split 4 to 3 to remove Trump. The four who voted to remove Trump were all Democrat campaign contribotors, while the three who opposed that did not make political contributions to anyone. Colorado is in the minority where ethics rules do not restrict judges making political contributions, although from that ruling, clearly they should.

I agree that this would be a strange position for someone actually from Bath. All of the money is being spent in a different school attendance district, not Bath, as has been pointed out. But there is also another reason. This is a school consolidation, and the parents in the old Bath High School district were up in arms when their high school was consolidated with Belhaven and Pantego some years ago. I know people who graduated from the old Bath High School and who think the education their children or grandchildren receive or received at consolidated notheastern high school is much inferior to what they received as studants at Bath High School. For multiple reasons, this poster takes very unusual positions for someone who actually was from Bath.

While there are some arguments in consolidating high schools such as being able to offer more subjects, those do not hold true for consolidating elementary schools into a mega-school. At that level, it is just nuts.

Yes, Bp might be a central office staffer. One of my associates think it is more likely one of those Repub exec. committee officers with severe HDS. Whatever, it is pathetic excuse for rational argument.

While I think JM made a good point, Hood's complaint about how decisions are made in this county is valid also. His point is valid enough that I consider it to be a county wide problem that does not need to be swept under the rug under the guise of hateful Hood bashing. We should appreciate public servants that have the backbone to do their job. Bottom line: More effort was put into getting lottery money to spend then making a plan for BCSs.

Two local GOP officeholders, Randy Walker and Carolyn Walker, both left First Methodist Church when it joined the Global Methodist Church and decamped to a smaller Methodist church that stayed with the liberal United Methodist Church. Apparently there was some animosity involved in their departure. One wonders, now that the United Methodist Church has doubled down on homosexuality, if they are happy with that decision? Henry Hinton, on his show on WTIB this morning played a tape of a roll call at that UMC convention that pushed homosexuality harder, and each delegate gave their name, race, gender identity, sexual preference, and pronouns at the microphone. It was disgusting. Hinton said he understood why so many churches were abandoning that denomination.

It is very odd for someone to be more loyal to their denomination, especially a very liberal one like the United Methodist Church, than to their own local church and congregation. Very odd, indeed.
