Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionAs a lawyer, let me correct Bob's gross misunderstanding of the law. In North Carolina, as in New York, if there are factors where a party cannot get a fair trial in the jurisdiction where charges are pending due to a tainted jury pool, there are two remedies. One is a change of venue, where the entire trial is moved to another jurisdiction with a fairer jury pool. The other is a special venire, where the trial itself is not moved, but jurors are brought in from another jurisdiction where there is a fairer jury pool.
Three times while I was actively practicing law I was involved in cases where the venue was changed. One was a capital murder case in Martin County. The trial judge initially denied our motion to change venue, but after a week of trying to seat a jury, he finally understood the issues we had raised in our motion, took up our motion again and changed venue to Pitt County. Another was a drug smuggling case in Hyde County, where a Wilmington attorney for a different defendant got in the case early and moved for a change of venue and it was moved to Martin County. When other defendants got local attorneys, we all considered that a very bad move, and we all moved to have venue returned to Hyde County, which the court did. The third was a civil case originally filed in Duplin County, on which venue was changed on my motion to Beaufort County. My late law partner John Wilkinson was hired by the victim's family as a private prosecutor in the notorious Joan Little murder case here in Beaufort County. As private prosecutor, he could only consult and advise the District Attorney's office. In that case, venue was changed on the defendant's motion to Wake County. That was very adverse to the prosecution, but our local Democrat DA, William Griffin went along with it for political reasons. The laws on change of venue required the case be sent to either another county in the same judicial district or a district that bordered our district. Wake County did not qualify as a county to which venue should have been changed. Probably the most famous trial that ever happened in Beaufort County, the George Washington Carawan murder case involved a crime that actually happened in Hyde County. The venue was changed to Beaufort County because of fears he could not get a fair trial in Hyde where the murder happened. I do not think I have ever seen a case where justice cried out for a change of venue or special venire more than the Manhattan case against Trump.

Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionWhen a jury in a highly political case is drawn from a place where only 5% voted for the candidate who is on trial, that candidate is not going to get a fair jury, or one that is of his peers. That is the very reason this case was brought by the Democrats in Manhattan. The legal system has a remedy for that, and it is called a change of venue, which President Trump's attorneys made a motion to get, but it was denied by political-hack-in-a-black-robe Juan Merchan.
There is no equivalence between the phony distortions of the law engineered to charge Trump and the actual straight forward law used to charge Hunter Biden. The Biden DOJ prosecutors tried to do a sweetheart deal to give Hunter a slap on the wrist, but fortunately in the federal system, random selection put an honest judge on the bench who refused to go along with it. Now the Biden DOJ is having to prosecute Hunter, which they really don't want to do. Look for them to do everything possible to throw the case. Hunter Biden is being tried in Delaware, which his father won by a wide margin, so he will not have a politically hostile jury pool. Indeed, his odds of finding one juror to create a hung jury for political reasons are probably pretty good.

Now Hunter is in court on a gun charge. So far, no spirited defense of him. He is the presidents son and not above the law, yet all I hear is ..crickets. And you want to be my firearms dealer!

HR we can disagree on anything and everything. No problem.
However when you add insult after insult along with whatever it is we disagree about, eventually I stop listening. I think that's what has happened to you. Not all your ideas are bad, but good lord, people just stop listening. Life is short. It's just not worth putting up with it.

Thom Tillis is nothing but an Undocumented Democrat. He has been voting against Republicans regularly. He should be target number one to take down in the 2026 primary, and if he survives that, no thinking conservative should ever hold their nose again to vote for him in the general election. Might as well have an admitted Democrat than phony baloney Tillis.

Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionKangaroo court, like in Manhattan, is where democracy goes to die. When a political movement politicizes the courts that way, no one's rights are safe.
If Marxist nutjob Little Bobbie thinks Michael Cohen was telling the truth, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell him. Cohen was caught in so many lies, but the Democrat jury still played politics with the case.

Big Bob. I treat people like crap when they treat me like crap. Elitists like you think us commoners are honor bound to believe any lie handed to us. When anyone has the courage to disagree he is considered a bad person. To disagree is a sin in the liberal community. That is why liberals get along so well with each other. Swearing to each other lies. How is that working out for you.

Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionCourt - where MAGA goes to die. Why? Its the one place left where you have to tell the truth. IT'S why you will never see Trump and pals testify if they can help it. Just compare what these jerks say out on the street vs what they say in court. It's very different and why they rarely win.

Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionWhether or not the corrupt Democrat operative Juan Merchan puts Trump in jail or not depends on what instructions he is given by his Biden regime political handlers. Undoubtedly, they are seeing their political ploy backfire based on polling and contributions. Will they double down by jailing him or will they beat as much of a retreat as they can? That calculation is now going on among the puppetmasters behind the Biden regime, probably both in Davos and in Washington, DC.
"Build Back Better" Biden is 1000% in on the globalist agenda, while President Trump represents the biggest threat to the globalist agenda. Just as the Biden insiders and the globalists set up January 6 for their own political purposes with their instigators and their deliberately lax security, whether they instigate a "civil war" will depend on whether it suits their politial purposes, like maybe an excuse taking up privately owned guns.

Every bit of it is true, Bolshevik Bob, and that is why this abuse of our courts for political purposes is such a threat to our democracy. It is just like Stalin, Putin, Hitler, Maduro, Xi, or you name the dictator.
As usual, Marxist internet troll Bolshevik Bob uses an Orwellian Newspeak definition of the word "true". When he uses it, "true" means "consistent with the far left narrative."

Commented on The ultimate result of the Trump trial decisionI'll say it again for everyone in the back of the room:
Trump isn't going to prison, there isn't going to a "Civil War" and Illuminati members don't go to jail. Trump's going to be publicly reinstalled in November as that has been the plan the whole time. For every problem THEY create, THEY manufacture a solution to keep the cycle going unless smart people begin pointing out that the emperor ain't got no clothes on.

There are written ethics rules in most courts prohibiting judges from contributing to political candidates. That is true in North Carolina courts, in federal courts, and in New York courts. Juan Merchan blatantly violated that ethics rule by contributing to Biden and other Democrats. The case he was hearing had a direct bearing on the political fortunes of a candidate he had contributed to, Joe Biden. Merchan chose to ignore that ethics rule. In a fair system, he would face a proceeding to remove him as a judge and probably one to disbar him as well, but this is New York and for political reasons that will not happen.
There has been no evidence of anyone on the Supreme Court making any contributions to any political candidates. If that happened, which is hasn't, that would be a violation. With Merchan, he also violated another specific ethics rule for judges in New York which prohibits a judge hearing a case where the judge's family member can financially gain from its result. Merchan's Democrat political consultant daughter who works for Biden-Harris had an obvious financial gain from Merchan's handling of this case. There is absolutely no equivalancy between Merchan's violation of the ethics rules and the ridiculous attampts by the left to intimidate the Supreme Court over things that are not rules violations.

What you really have, Hood, is one guy making all the decisions, and that is Matthew Cheeseman. T.W. Allen is nothing but his sock puppet, parotting whatever Cheeseman wants. Allen is so patheric that he cannot even chair the school board without having Cheeseman sitting at his elbow to tell him what to do.
And Frankie Waters? He owes Cheeseman a huge political favor for Cheeseman's helping Frankie hoo-doo Stan Deatherage out of his website contract with the county schools. Cheeseman had his rubber stamp school board give it to an out of town company that charges substantially more money, just to slam Deatherage politically. He did that as a political favor to Frankie Waters, and now Frankie Waters owes him for it. So now, Cheeseman will get whatever he wants out of Waters. Cheeseman is the one driving this bus, and it is all about what will look best on Cheeseman's resume for when he applies to a bigger and better paying school district. What is best for our county is VERY secondary for Cheeseman.

The solid piece of legislation to secure the border is HR2, which has already passed the House of Representatives, but Schumer has let it languish in the Senate. That needs to be passed through the Senate and send to Biden.
The overwhelming majority of illegal alien migrants are military aged males, NOT women and children. Of those who claim to be "unaccompanied minors" the countries which have verified actual age have found that a majoriy of them are really adults who are lying about their age. Norway was the highest, finding that 90% of them were adults lying about their age. When someone crosses the border illegally, they need to be turned around and sent back like Hungary does. Australia with its highly successful Operation Sovereign Borders, led by a military general, intercepted migrant boats at sea and turned them around, at gunpoint if necessary. As far as illegal aliens that Biden has let in, all nine million of them, they need to be rounded up and sent home. In the last year or so, Pakistan and Israel have both adopted policies to do that. President Eisenhower did it in the US in Operation Wetback. Multiple polls have shown that American voters support mass deportation of illegal aliens. What Biden has "offered to do" is just continue his open border policies with a little minor and meaningless window dressing. He is putting a bandaid on a cancer.
