Willie Jones is one of my favorite figures in our history. The concerns of men like Jones and Patrick Henry have proven to be well founded.

Who is more likely to be crazy? A loony left internet troll who thinks his opinions are "Fact" and "truth" or twenty some prominent scientists from around the world who are interviewed in that documentary and explain the facts behind their scientific opinions? But he is content calling a bunch of people a whole lot smarter than him "crazy".

The real problem is the "administrative state" and its abuse by this administration. Congress delegates way too much rulemaking authority to bureaucrats, and when big government types like the Biden crowd get in power, they stretch it far beyond what was intended. The executive branch in a Constitutional republic was never intended to make laws, just carry them out, but don't tell that to Biden and the Democrats. A Constitutional republic is not their model of governance. An all powerful centralized state is what they are after.

Once we get Republicans in control of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency, a key issue will be cutting the administrative state down to size by putting significant restrictions on rulemaking powers. Economic impact studies should be required for all rulemaking and those studies should have to be approved by the Congressional Budget Office. Actions that have an economic impact over a set level should require Congressional concurrence before it takes effect. There should also be an easy method for Congress to step in and take charge on any rulemaking. For example, statutes could provide that on a petition of one third of the members of the House or Senate, a rule would be paused until voted on and passed by both House and Senate.

The bureaucratic deep state in government needs to be neutered and power returned to our elected legislative branch where it belongs in a Constitutional republic.

Southern voters are NOT, for the most part ok with the cancel culture against our history, and from the polling a lot of people in other parts of the country may not be either. The problem is that attacks on our history are only part of the woke culture and globalist culture being thrust at us, and there are a lot of things like Bidenflation, illegal immigration, and crime that are on the front burner more than cultural matters.

Most voters are OK with the name changes. If not, they wouldn't be happening.

Like I said, until politicians begin losing elections, guns are safe. Kid in school. Not so much.

I'm a cheer leader for the truth. The boarder was a problem long before JB. He will take his lumps but not all the blame.

Murphy voted to take away the name of Fort Bragg and other military bases named for Confederate generals. He has piled on to cancel culture against Southern heritage. After his first vote on that position, his congressdional district GOP committee voted unanimously to urge him not to do it again, but not long after, another such vote came up and Murphy ignored his local party committee to again vote for cancel culture against the South. Greg Murphy is what during Reconstruction would have been called a scalawag.

Voters should have figured that out in the primary, since in the legislature he was nicknamed "Medicaid Murphy" for his liberal views.

The other option to Murphy in November is a Libertarian but I do not know much about him. If the Constitution Party is successful in getting back on the ballot, that might give another option.

JMan: I have also noticed that Murphy has not stood up for Southern heritage. It's my understanding that he grew up in Raleigh, so that's a little mystifying to me. But then again, we have some native-born politicians in Beaufort County that seem to think they are too cool for all that sort of thing too.

That's OK. They just shouldn't be surprised when I do not support them in their political career aspirations. If they won't respect things as fundamental as our heritage, it's usually a red flag for other things too. For me that's a deal breaker by itself. In this case it is no surprise there is actually more than that.

The other thing about big lithium batteries is that they spontaneously combust, burn very hot, are hard to extinguish, and give off toxic fumes. Not only do electric cars spontaneously combust, but so do electric buses (London and Paris have already had several go up in flames) and utility scale electric storage batteries (Wouth Korea, Belgium, Australia, and California have already had that happen). Owners of electric cars have had them carch fire while driving down the road or parked in their garage. In two cases aleady, ships carrying electric cars as part of their cargo have had the brand new cars combust at sea, burning up the ship. These things are dangerous and should be banned.

It is the totalitarian slimeballs like Biden who are allowing in swarms of illegal alien criminals, and coddling all criminals. The Soros prosecutors are also doing their part to increase crime. Law abiding citizens need guns to protect themselves against the criminality unleashed by the Democrats. If a kid gets shot in the face, it will likely be by a criminal who did so because his own family did not have a gun handy to defend against the criminal.

Face it, Little Bobbie, you are nothing but a cheerleader for the criminal elements when you oppose law abiding citizens owning guns.

There can be little doubt that this is what Biden's gambit is. We need our deporter in chief, President Trump in office next year to reverse it and send them home.

Dont worry guys. No republican ever lost an election because his or her policy allows for the slaughter of children. Dont care how many kids get shot in the face, or how many men gun down their families, guns are safe.

Abortion on the other hand......thats a different story. It cost you big in 2022 and after AZ, will likely keep JB in the White House in 2024. Keep telling women they dont matter....that will cost you at the ballot box.

Germans pay three times what we do for electricity due to this wind / solar madness. It is time for Americans and particularly North Carolinians to wake up and drive a stake through the heart of this monster. Part of our problem is the liberal Republicans like Phil Berger and TIm Moore who prostitute themselves to the special interests like "woke" utility monopoly Duke Energy and are driving this crap in our state.

Little Bobbie (a.k.a. Chicken Little on steroids), if you would just watch that British TV documentary, you would learn from prominent scientists that CO2 and the greenhouse effect have nothing whatsoever to do with the current natural warm period.

Lawless Biden showed himself as a dictator from the very beginning by turning our duly adopted immigration law on its head. He has totally ignored our federal statutes on immigration and made up his own executive "law" contrary to the real law by executive order. Biden and all those who helped him do it need to be tried, convicted, and punished for treason.

Sounds like Mr. Willie Jones was a very practical thinker.

"Jones opposed ratification (of the Constitution) for several reasons: He feared a standing army, a U.S. Supreme Court that could overrule state court decisions, and a federal government that regulated the economy to benefit a few commercial interests."

"To Jones, the Constitution could be a dangerous instrument of centralization. To prevent it from becoming so, he wanted the document to enumerate specific, individual rights. Until such a list was included, (Bill of Rights) Jones encouraged his colleagues not to ratify the Constitution."

History is so fascinating, and I unfortunately know so little of it. Even more unfortunate is the fact that our current public (tax payer funded) educational system is pathetically woeful when it comes to current students' knowledge of history.

This is NOT "a loophole". Private individuals are not gun dealers, and this is just a way to criminalize people who don't keep up with all this stuff. It is also a way that tyrants can track down who has guns. Ask Hitler or Stalin.

BUt the most important thing is that Congress, which is the branch of government that is supposed to make policy, has discussed this several times and always rejected it. The executive branch is just supposed to just carry out policy, but this is a power grab where the Biden regime are trying to make policy. That is just one more assault on democracy by Fuehrer Biden.

Closing this loop hole is a good thing. It's a reasonable response considering the number of people shot each day in this country. Take away my gun? No way. Make me demonstrate I'm legally allowed to own one...No problem.

Biden has just come out with a new dictatorial move, forcing background checks on private gun sales, something Congress has considered several times and always rejected, even when Democrats were in control. When Congress rejects a policy, only someone with a dictatorial mentality would try to impose it anyway through the executive branch. www.breitbart.com
