Commented on A Cruel Promise

Hoodie is just mean.
I worry about Stan. I never trust the ‘smartest’ person in the room. It’s just a red flag.

We need a coordinated GOP effort in the urban areas that focuses on inflation, inflation, inflation!

John Steed: The only other plan I will endorse to elect commissioners is one that Steve Rader proposed to me which makes sense on every level:

It is simply this: Commissioners run every 2 years, with the electorate having 7 votes each two years, with a total of each citizen having the right to vote 14 times over a four year period, or less if there is a strategic plan afoot to elect Conservatives or RINOs or Democratic Socialists.

I could handle that since I am in the media /journalism /education business as well as many others.

Since I am in the business of knowing stuff, I will never support districts unless those district can be tempered by electing the Chairman and Vice Chairman at large.

We have enough corruption in Beaufort County. Commissioners running myopically in a district would only become a breeding ground to foment more, and compound the existing problem at some great lengths.

Stan you have this exactly right! The states are responsible for picking up the slack when the federal government refuses to do so. Every state has the right to come to the defense of another state when sovereignty is at issue. Your resolution is not only necessary but should be supported by every single conservative and Republican but not only conservatives and Republican but anyone that gives a damn about the country and that includes Democrats and independent voters. Well worded.

Furthermore the difference between you and Mr deathridge is that Stan is it good man who knows how to form a logical argument with those that opposing without trying to attack them on a personal level or destroy them. Perhaps you should learn from Stan about how to properly conduct yourself as a person. I can't believe you call yourself a Christian and do what you do. Shame on you.

I agree with you John Sneed I do prefer to have two year terms rather than the four years I think that that is probably the best.

With all due respect Mr Hood have you no shame. Do you have to go after every single person that has a different view than you. This is why you do not deserve to be reelected and it's not even because I disagree with you I'm political issues we probably agree on 90% of them it's cuz you're nasty and you go after people on a personal level. I've never taken a dime from anyone I work my ass off as a working class person and a blue collar job so how dare you. You're disgrace to the party.

Two year terms make county commissioners more accountable and responsive. Whether by district or at-large, two year terms will make these politicians more likely to have to actually listen to voters.

Solar panels are full of harmful substances. This has undoubedly polluted this land. This is a stupid way to make electricity - expensive and unreliable, as well as damaging to the environment.

I do agree that there is some validation to having Commissioners elected on every two year basis. I think that is a good point. However I think it's a horrible idea to have Commissioners elected countywide instead of by districts. Here's why.

When it's County Wide you could have three or four Republicans and maybe one Democrat or vice versa on the ballot since you only get one vote for a commissioner you're actually dividing the vote for your party there by limiting just how many members of your party can be elected even if the majority vast majority of the voters want a particular party's candidates to be elected. So instead of electing say eight Republican commissioners based on districts we might only elect seven or six because one Republican is taking the votes away from another Republican because you only get one vote thereby dividing the conservative vote. The same would be true for the other side. And then I deal world I would favor the district map with two year terms staggered. But we don't live in an Ideal World unfortunately so I believe that the petition is the best option that we have right now to rectify a situation in which voters votes are diluted we're only getting one vote for commissioner when there may be several different commissioners that would otherwise be elected by District.

Legislation is being adopted in states here in the US to require that cash remain as a payment mechanism. That is also being pursued in some European countries. Restricting citizens to digital currency is a huge threat to privacy and freedom and is a goal of the globalists.

The Progress Parties of Scandanavia represents REAL progress. They started with the Progress Party of Denmark, which stormed into politics the first election they ran in to become the second largest party in the country running on a platform of "abolish the welfare state, abolish the income tax, and fire the bureaucracy". The Progress Party of Norway, which has been part of government coalitions took those issues and added a strident opposition to illegal immigration. Now that is TRUE progress.

Actually Hoodie, the commissioners just don't vote for you. I will add calling republicans in BC liberal just isn't accurate. Hell, the democrats aren't even what most would call liberal. The truth is your position on most issues is so far to the right most find they don't agree. Plus, you're just mean.

MAGA- they can't govern

Totalitarians of the past thought communism and naziism were "progress" so it is not surprising that totalitarians of today think the same thing of globalism.

How about giving we the people 1 vote for every seat up for re-election every time? The way it is now and even with 2 votes if there are more than 2 seats up for re-election, we are not getting a fair vote for our so called representatives.

Countrygirl1411: It is a simple mathematical equation as to whether the People of Beaufort County get more representation or less.

The current plan gives the citizens of Beaufort County 2 votes for individual commissioners every 4 years; The current plan gives the citizens of Beaufort County 2 votes for individual commissioners every 4 years; The plan proposed by Hood Richardson, which I endorse, would give the citizens of Beaufort County 3 votes for individual commissioners every 4 years.

Not just CBDC people need to pay attention to the WHO treaty which will also cause loss of freedoms. Not just the UK but any nations that signs onto it.
The World Health Organization could gain new powers to force the UK into lockdown if there is another pandemic, some ministers fear.

"Under a draft update to WHO regulations, member states would need to follow some precise instructions when responding to pandemics such as introducing vaccine passports, border closures and quarantine measures."

I would love to see the voting system for county commissioners go back to the way it was many years ago. If there are 3 seats up for re-election you got to vote for 3 people.
Now if 3 seats are up for re-election you only get to vote for one person. Some how that is just not right. If nothing else do it like the judges, if seat 1, 4 and 6 are up for re-election, let people file to run for that seat and everyone gets to vote for those seats, 3 seats, 3 votes.
