Destroyed? Another vague reference to the final solution?

We would do better to pray an adversary be given wisdom rather than wish for their destruction.

Commented on Trouble ahead--Supply chain foretells of future woesI agree about the climate crisis disrupting crop production. I have personally witnessed thousands of acres of the best farm land in the world be made into a sheet of reflective glass due to solar panels. Which confuses me because of the fact that you could cover the entire planet with them for energy but that wouldn’t even produce the same energy we do now. So the entire venture seems inefficient and ineffective. Not to mention the fact that they reflect uv light back into the atmosphere that otherwise would have been absorbed in the earth. Some would say the reflected uv rays would warm the atmosphere and disrupt the weather themselves. It would appear the actions taken to mitigate a certain condition are in fact the things causing the condition.

Mr. Biggums to your previous comment:
Have is one of three auxiliary verbs in English: be, do and have. We use have before -ed forms to make the present perfect and past perfect. (The best American economies, with some exceptions, have occurred with democrats in office.)

Commented on Trouble ahead--Supply chain foretells of future woesIn addition, the climate crisis is effecting what you are able to buy. The most concerning, food crops. In both quantity and quality we are already seeing foods we like is short supply or in poor quality. Its going to get worse as people find it harder to actually live and work in the hottest parts of the world.

Commented on OptimismIn each case, it goes back to Management. Who is in Charge? Change the Method, change the results. This only happens when we the people follow what is going on and get involved. Your school system is a failure because of Management. Yes, there have been difficulties. That is when you find out if you have the right management or if you need to find more capable people. From the above information, it appears that we need to change management.

Once I learned that Speedway was gouging us on gas prices, I quit buying gas, or anything else, there. They are always first out of the gun to raise prices, and usually by a lot, but usually the very last to follow others on reducing gas prices.

Tillis is a disgrace on so many fronts - gun rights, immigration, taxes and spending, homosexual marriage, boys in the girls bathrooms, you name it. He simply has to go. I would leave the ballot blank if the choice is Tillis and an admitted Democrat. I had so hoped that Dan Bishop would be running against him in 2026 but Bishop has been conned into running for NC Attorney General instead. Now we simply have to find another candidate. This is totally unacceptable.

Many NC Republicans beleive that Unaffiliated voters in the primary push the nomination to the left, not the right because it allows the Democrats to play in GOP primaries by temporarily switching to Unaffiliated, and there is anecdotal evidence that this goes on to some degree. When John McCain,a moderate, won the GOP presidential nomination in 2008, his victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina were what put him in the pole position. Both of those states are open primaries, and exit polls showed that if only Republicans had been voting in the primary, McCain would have lost both states and probably not been the nominee.
The complicating factor is that looking at voting behavior, about two thirds of Unaffiliated voters here in Beaufort County, and probably almost that many statewide, vote straight ticket Republican in the general election. Many of them are conservatives who are put out with the establishment wing of the party, but there are other electments there, too. I was on the state GOP executive committee when we voted to open our primary to Unaffiliated voters. The theory was that if we did, they would get used to voting Republican and would re-registerer as Republicans, but that has not been happening. There are two other blocks of Unaffiliated voters, those who usually vote straight ticket Democrat in the general election, which is the smallest group of Unaffiliateds by voting behavior, and those who cast split tickets. If there was a way we could exclude the latter two groups and allow those who typically vote straight Republican in the general election to vote in our primary, that would be ideal, but as a practical matter there is no way to do that.

I have NEVER been registered with party in the almost 50 years I have been voting. The way the parties are now a days I feel even stronger about not being associated with either party. If NC republicans decides to block unaffiliated from voting in their primaries, I will vote in the democrat primary if that is the only choice I have, but I will vote.
It would be interesting to see how the vote turns out and if true strong conservatives get past the primaries without the unaffiliated votes.

I have to agree CV.
The Idiot President has always been stupid and bereft of any monitorable integrity; however, that truth alone is not singularly the infamous purpose behind all of the damage this Fool has now done to our Representative Republic. He is a CCP tool, and surely his Crack Head Son learned all these sins of the father straight from this one familial resource.
