The EPA got really creative with the Clean Air Act to try to include CO2 which is not a pollutant. If the case brought by the fishermen now pending at the Supreme Court is decided the way most expect, I think that power grab is going to be rammed down their throat. That case should be decided in the next few months.
But the last time the EPA tried a power grab to impose these sort of restrictions on power plants, that power grab was itself shot down by the SCOTUS.

Commented on If I were the Devil..."Non White kids" have the right to learn all they can, or will, but every school system must teach the real history of this nation, and they must teach the Constitution /the Declaration of Independence, all manner of how we function as a Constitutional Republic, or children will not know or appreciate what it means to be a productive American citizen.
That lack of this functional intelligence is on full display far too often, and it is beyond sad, and I say this once again: Stupidity will get YOU killed, and it will kill this Republic if changes are not made NOW.

Commented on If I were the Devil...My point Stan is this. Hillsdale teaches a whitewashed version of American history. From a single perspective. Ignoring other perspectives. Now if you want to pay good money to absorb that fairly tale by all means attend that school and get your degree.
However, a public school is indeed public. Non white kids have a right to learn their history. All students should be exposed to different perspectives. Saying this doesn't make me a communist, it makes my a grown up.

Congress passed the Clean Air Act. Pretty sure a republican was supportive. Tricky Dick as I recall.

This is bad in the US, with all sorts of new mandates by order of the EPA, without going through congress, that are making lots of applicances more expensive and less functional, with their climate delusions as the excuse for doing so. Then they are trying to force us into very expensive self-combusting electric cars and trying to sned our electric bills to the moon.

Kids in my family are afraid to mention any conservative opinion in school because they are afraid that will be used against them. This is not an atmosphere we should have in our schools. Some teachers are too obvous in their liberal political opinions, and there is too often a question mark in kids minds about the others. No teacher who may have conservative opinions seems to want those known in the system.

Commented on If I were the Devil...I reckon if you wanted to put me in one the many boxes that bigoted Leftists do, as is their normal matter of course, I too am a proud "Nationalist," and since I am of western European descent (about every country north of spain and west of the Lusatian Neisse River), I reckon one could consider me "White" as well.
If anyone were to label me a "White Nationalist," there is a formidable chance that I would inquire specifically: "Then what are you, a Non Patriot Racist?" Yeah, I could see me asking that with a smile on my face ... but still unflinchingly meaning it in a most direct, and incredibly accurate manner.

Commented on If I were the Devil...Bob is clearly a woke globalist, and for them loyalty to your native country is evil, as is being a member of the white race. "Nativist" is another one of the terms therse people throw around aimed at their enemies.

Commented on If I were the Devil...Well, since I am in Bog Bob's world, "The Smartest Guy in the Room," I deem the insipid term "White Nationalist" as incredibly stupid, especially since, in these awakening days, there are a growing number of "Black Nationalists" and "Brown Nationalists," and I am not referring to any nation in Africa or Latin America modifying these associative phrases.

Commented on If I were the Devil...That is a term of Orwellian Newspeak used by the extreme left. They made up the term "white nationalist" to use for anyone to the right of "woke". If you are not "woke", these far left goons call you a "whate nationalist".

Commented on If I were the Devil...Leftwing internet troll Bigot Bob is up to his / her usual lies. Hillsdale College was founded by abolitionists and has admited black students since it opened in the 1840s. It follows the teachings of the great abolitionists Frederck Douglas and of Dr. Martin Luther King, instead of the Marxist twaddle of the BLM, and that is what has the far left's panties in a twist.
What is dangerous in our schools is what Bigot Bob wants - wokeness. Unfortunately, we have way too much of that now and he / she wants to keep that.

What they are being given in schools is the "woke" version of everything, very one sided, not too different from education in the old Soviet Union with Marxism crap like CRT, DEI, and ESG. Of course, that is what you on the far left want.

Regulations and rules by the agencies are laws. When is Congress going to get a spine and do their job and stop these laws by unelected officials? Laws are created by Congress NOT unelected officials in these unconstitutional agencies.

Have you looked at the Hillsdale Curriculum? It is available on their website. Strange how facts matter. But that may not be in your agenda.

Commented on If I were the Devil...Stan, the curriculum is fine if you’re a white nationalist. In a public school I would hope the parents would say no to it.

Commented on If I were the Devil...I really don't know enough about the Hillsdale Curriculum to comment on its exact proficiency.
However, I can reasonably deduct from my observations that a good number of the young men and women that they do graduate are clean cut (which I have never been), and seem to understand their defined purpose (which I do try to be cognizant of for myself, every day). So ... what is there NOT to truly appreciate about the Hillsdale paradigm of producing effective American citizens? It may not be perfect, but I would wager that they render fewer overtly stupid graduates than near most any other center of higher learning in these United States, and ... "that's a good thing."

Hooray for deSantis. We need more governors like him. Abbot of Texas is doing a lot, too, but could be doing more. What is absurd is paying ANY taxpayer money to house or feed these interlopers, like New York City paying $200 a night for three years to put them up in a luxury hotel. www.breitbart.com
How about finding some diused prisons and putting them in jail cells for breaking our immigration laws until we can put them on a plane home.

Big Government Bob's lame attempt to change the discussion to a different subject, Jim Crow makes no sense, as he again does not have a good grasp on history. He apparently knows little outside the leftwing narrative. What Jim Crow most resembles are the Black Codes of the antebellum NORTH. The Black Codes imposed in many northern states created far more severe restrictions on free blacks than the later Jim Crow laws of the South. Free blacks, which were 20% of the black population in the South, were generally given more rights in the South prior to the war than in many northern states. This is reflected on the differing treatment of black soldiers by the two sides during the war. The North gave them half the pay of white soldiers while the South gave them full pay. The North put them in segregated units while the South integrated its units. The North did not allow minorities to serve as commissioned officers while the South did allow it and even had a minority general.
