Florida took an interesting approach to reducing the mooching of health care by deadbeat illegal aliens, and it is working. Under Governor deSantis, they adopted legislation to require hospitals to determine the citizenship and immigration status of patients at admission. Once that went into effect, it cut illegal alien freeloading of health care dramatically. We should do that in North Carolina, too.

Good point John Steed: Many Americans have known this truth for so long, and now with the Democratic Socialists aiding in the Biden Illegal Alien Invasion of 2021 to 2025, many Americans have forgotten this cost that is as unnecessary, we all pay, and pay, and pay ... And, will pay trillions more caused by these Non Patriot politicians, those that did tremendously support all the policies of Non Patriot President Biden.

A huge burden on American health care that raises medical costs and health insurance premiums is hospitals having to subsidize the cost of treating illegal aliens who should not even be in the country to begin with. When the illegal aliens cannot or will not pay, the cost of their care is dumped on those who can, including their insurance companies. Even if we just limited what hospitals were required to provide to illegal aliens to acute emergencies, it would cut medical costs significantly to American citizens.

As to Medicaid expansion, in North Carolina that scheme made hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians who had private health coverage through their employer ineligible for that private insurance and forced them onto Medicaid. Some lost their doctors in the process. Forcing people who had private health care onto Medicaid is NOT beneficial to those people because many of the better doctors do not take Medicaid. And why should taxpayers have to pay for it instead of their employers?

Tom Campbell is left of Lenin.

The NC General Assembly must help healthcare in North Carolina by abolishing the state sponsored monopoly within the medical industry by ending Certificate of Need (CON).

CON no longer has any reason to exist as NC is predominately an urban state with some out lying rural areas.

Those answers are simple, and can be simply summed up in one answer: Donald Trump is Hitler.

The questions that begs to be asked: Why did the Biden administration refuse to investigate the Butler assassination attempt of a political rival - Donald Trump - and why did the Biden administration destroy the evidence?

The lying MSM propaganda media kept harping about "recession" but reality is solid economic growth. Nobody in their right mind believes the lying partisan MSM media these days.

That deranged Greta Thunberg can cry her crazy eyes out. This is a huge burden off of the American economy, the American consumer, and the American taxpayer. Climate alarmism is a globalist political charade and it is time to drive a stake through its evil heart. Hooray for Lee Zeldin.

Now there are NONE of them, thanks to the General Assembly. Good job!

Also that gender bill is great, prohibiting tax money for genital mutilation surgery, declaring basic biology to be fact that there are only two genders, and helping get the smut out of our school libraries.

Once there were 5 Sanctuary Counties, now there are 12 as of when I last recently looked.

There are more Non Patriot Leftists in North Carolina than we realize.

Ending North Carolina's sanctuary counties is great work for our General Assembly. This problem was created by liberal Democrat sheriffs acting arbitrarily in Wake, Durham, Orange, Mecklenburg, Chatham, Guilford, and Forsyth counties. Now these sheriffs will have to follow the law and help ICE detain criminal illegal aliens.

These counties were a danger to our whole state. A sanctuary sheriff in, say Wake County, could let an illegal alien criminal loose, and they could come here to commit their next crime instead of being deported like they should be.

Josh Stein is an amnesty whore and an embarassment to North Carolina. So are most Democrat members of the General Assembly.

Eventually, we will probably learn almost every sordid detail regarding the Epstein case due to the Trump administration not being corrupt and incredibly transparent; whereas, the Idiot President Biden administration was the most corrupt in the history of the United States, and were allocated the special privilege of propagandistic cover by the most corrupt media, Democratic Socialists all, in the history of the United States.

Any Democratic Socialist trying to gain political advantage now over any Epstein issue at this point is charlatan first class, as well as an intellectual mutant of the first right.

The House and Senate both overrode the governor's veto today, making this bill law. Rep. Keith Kidwell was one of the sponsors.

Obama bringing in communist sympathizer Brennan is like Lincoln bringing in mulitple communists to help him in his invasion of the South in the 1860s. At that time communism had mainly been established in Germany, where Marx and Engles were from, and they participated in the German revolutionary activities in 1848. After that, many fled Germany, Marx and Engels to the UK and many others to the USA.

Lincoln appointed two of those German communists as generals in his army to fight the south, and an American communist or communist sympathizer as his Assistant Secretary of War. Many other German communists served in lower ranks in the Union army.

Union General August Willach had been a member of the Central Committee of the Communist League before he fled Germany and was a personal friend of Engels. Marx himself called Willach "a communist with a heart". His German-American fellow traveller "48ers" called Willach "the reddest of the red."

Another German communist who served as a Union General was General Joseph Weydemeyer, who was also a personal friend of Karl Marx. Marx gave Weydemeyer a personal letter of introduction when Weydemeyer came to America to a local communist sympathizer, Charles A. Dana. Weydemeyer and Dana together arranged the first publicantion of Marx's "Communist Manifesto" in America. Dana went on to be Lincoln's Assistant Secretary of War against the south.

Good for Grassley! We need more decent common sense judges to counteract those hyper partisan leftwing radical judges appointed by Obama and by Biden's autopen. Congress needs to declare the Biden autopen judicial appointments void and the seats vacant, so decent judges can fill them instead of those crooks.

Anyone who has been in a House or Senate office more than 4 years has accumulated some of accommodations of the deep state. Accepting the percs of the deep state is like being stuck to the tar baby. It is impossible to get loose and if you do you are tarred.

Trump, with the passage of the big beautiful bill, and threatening to prosecute Obama and Hillary has cut deeply into government. He is now a real threat to the deep state.

I expect to see more strange behavior from these people.

The dollar today is worth about what ten cents were 50 or 60 years ago. Gold, on the other hand is worth almost 100 times what it was 50 or 60 years ago. Silver is worth almost 40 times more. Traditionally, there are three "monetary metals" that have a foreign exchange cross with all currencies in the ForEx market - gold, silver, and platinum. Gold and silver have been used for circulating currencies from ancient times until very recent. Platinum has also been used, but less so, for circulating currency. The only other metal that is sometimes called a monetary metal is palladium, although it has never been used as a circulating currency.

National central banks hold only one metal as reserves, and that is gold, although silver is often held for stability by individuals around the world and one central bank, Russia, has recently been stockpiling it, too. In the last few years, central banks around the world have been increasing their holdings of gold and gradually dumping dollars and euros.

Fiat currencies like the dollar have depreciated at diffent rates. Sixty years ago, The British pound was worth $2.80 in US currency and the Swiss franc 23 cents. Now the pound and franc are worth slightly more than one dollar each. The British pound has depreciated faster than the dollar, while the Swiss franc has depreciated much more slowly, although all of them have depreciated against gold and silver.

Bullion coins of specific weights of gold and silver are being issued by an increasing number of national mints around the world, including the US wint. There is also a curious new currency issued by several states called the Goldback, with one goldback worth 2/1000 of an ounce of gold. Half of that amount is actually incorporated into the banknotes themselves in the form of 24 carat gold leaf. State governments currently issuing goldbacks include New Hampshire, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Florida. They are designed to be spent as money in establishments which accept them. They come in denominations of from half goldbacks to 100 goldbacks.

Personally, I prefer the actual bullion but the goldback is an interesting idea, especially if more states adopt it.
