    • Record of Decision approved - December 2004
    • R/W Acquisition Segment A - Completed

    Segment B - Completed
    Segment C - Completed

    • Construction Segment A - Opened to traffic September 2011

    Segment B - Opened to traffic February 26, 2010
    Segment C - Construction contract let March 2011 (estimated completion late 2013)

    Action items Accomplished January - March:

    • Segment C - Continue grading, drainage, paving and structure activities. Structure #3 over Old Ford Swamp completed. Structure #2 over Cherry Run under construction, end bents completed.

    Action items for April - June:

    • Segment C - Complete bridge construction over Cherry Run in May 2012. Begin structure #4 bridge construction of northbound lanes over Old Ford Swamp. Continue

installation of drainage pipes and waterlines.

    • Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) - September 2013
    • R/W Acquisition - Budgeted $8.5 million beginning NC FY 2019
    • Utilities - Budgeted $3.2 million in NC FYs 2019-20
    • Construction - Unfunded ($42.3 million)

    Action items Accomplished January - March:

    • Draft environmental assessment distributed to other NCDOT units for review. However, document will be delayed to September 2012 to allow time for geotechnical investigation for project (see below).
