Finally, 'Mr. No-Show' has Issues He Can Discuss: Marijuana Usage and Democrat Strategy | Eastern North Carolina Now

'If it walks like a Democrat, and it quacks like a Democrat, it is a Democrat' - somebody said that.     A 'simple man' is well proved by his simple deeds - I said that.

Don Cox, A.K.A. Mr. No-Show (does not show up for Candidates' Forums), who, up until now, has shown that he is completely incapable of discussing any issues at any time, now has twin issues he understands well enough to discuss: marijuana usage and Democrat strategy. For a commissioner candidate, who has never darkened the door at a Beaufort County Commissioner meeting, or even a candidates' forum as a candidate, knowing how to combine the functionality of governing a self-governed people with the intricacies of politics must be quite difficult for such a 'simple' man.

So, what does Don Cox do?

First, he hires the Washington Strategic Partners to counsel him, a group of three men, two of which have run repeatedly for elected office, and have never actually won a general election, and getting beat ..really .. bad .. every .. single .. time. The Washington Strategic Group (A.K.A. the 'Three Stooges') may have won one partisan election for others; the one that I am familiar with, was won solely on negative 'hit piece' mailers, and nothing more. Obviously, negative campaigning works to entice some people to vote for their one candidate that won. I would absolutely hate to know that negative campaigning was the only way I could get elected.

Now, the Washington Strategic Partners are advising Mr. No-Show to start negative and stay negative, with his three 'hit piece' mailers, as, unequivocally, the only way that their client, Don Cox, can get elected. Obviously, they have also advised Don Cox to not attend any candidates' forums, where Don would have to do more than discuss the only two issues that he actually does understand, as evidenced in his latest 'hit piece'.

Insinuating, by asking the question: "Is Stan Deatherage A Joker or a Midnight Toker?", that I partake in the usage of marijuana may appear to be a new low to some people, but understanding Don Cox as I am discovering him to be, this 'simple' man, however salacious, is crying out that he does understand issues - two of them in fact: marijuana usage and perfect Democrat strategy. The Sophistic Mr. Cox has spent bunches of campaign dollars reaching out to those that might be impressed by his political savvy, his personal sophistry; however, he has never really embraced any real issues until possibly now - his knowledge of marijuana usage and his respect for pure Democrat strategy. (Apologies for the repetition but it is well warranted at this point)
In his specious 'hit piece', Democrat Don Cox states the cliche (yet another cliche) "You Can't make this stuff up!", actually Don Cox and Washington Strategic Partners, contextually, did make this up, and the videocast of record will show this. What 'you can't make up' is Don Cox's sympathy with Democrat strategy, as evidenced in this 'hit piece', and it is well good that we know this now - Don Cox is a Democrat, and a damn good one.

To borrow their cliche, once again, in the "You Can't make this stuff up!" category is the awful quality of the design work of this mailer - it just keeps getting worse, terrible. I would be embarrassed to have my name on this from a quality stand point, forget the false narrative, the cliches, the bold embrace of Democrat philosophy of certain talking points.

Another relevant truth is that one can never trust the veracity of any communication from the so-called Washington Strategic Partners (A.K.A. 'The Three Stages').

In his first 'hit piece' mailer, the Sophistic Mr. Cox decried how I was a bully, and "I will never embarrass you." His second 'hit piece' ad, he revealed that his Granddaddy told him 'you just show up' to be successful, and then ... Don Cox never showed up. Now in his third 'hit piece' mailer, Don Cox waxes eloquent as an authority on marijuana usage, and that he tacitly supports Democrat Commissioner Ed Booth's initiating the discussion of marijuana usage into heated debates on serious county issues - twice.

Furthermore, in Mr. No Show's 3rd 'hit piece' mailer revealing Don Cox's incredible knowledge of marijuana usage, insinuating that I may be a "Midnight Toker", Mr. Sophistry took parts of phrases from multiple meetings out of context, and then reveled in how the Democrat Chairman reigned in the meeting by somehow disciplining me; this specious admonishment by the Chairman is certainly an approval signified by Don Cox's statement in his latest 'hit piece': "We can't afford this type of conduct. This dog and pony show needs to stop."

Aside, from all the hackneyed cliches that Don Cox continues to employ in all his 'hit piece' mailers, these are classic Democrat talking points - accuse your opponent of not being congenial enough, or accuse your opponent of using marijuana when you are losing the argument. The Sophistic Mr. Cox might as well have shown his broad approval of this accusatory Democrat strategy, and rallying with his favored county commissioners, Democrats: Booth and Langley as codependent losers in these multiple heated debates, and cry 'RACIST!'. Mr. Sophistry, isn't this what you Democrats generally do when you resoundingly lose debates - make accusations and name call? Only in Beaufort County will fellow Democrats Don Cox and Ed Booth, instead of the bemoaning the hackneyed 'RACIST' retort, will they cry out: 'MARIJUANA'

Those nights, when Commissioner Booth interjected the specious discussion of marijuana in those fire hot debates, the videocast of record will show the 4 Democrats on our board getting their political butts kicked. Obviously, as evidenced from his latest 'hit piece', reasoning the wisdom of Democrats issues and strategy, one can well understand my principled Conservative tact of debate did upset Don Cox, and I now understand why - Don Cox is that good Democrat, who stands shoulder to shoulder with his Democrat brethren upon the political field of battle. With this 3rd 'hit piece' mailer, he has made his points well - he well understands marijuana usage, he embraces Democrat strategy, and Don Cox is ... well ... a fine Democrat.

The essential record of our general meetings, this aforementioned videocast of our every word and deed, bears out the truth of these meetings, and Don Cox's false narrative of what never happened as he showed in his specious 'hit piece' will not hold up under the clear light of discovery. Understanding that the truth of real issues are the sturdy foundation of what good commissioners build upon: Does anyone with a full working brain think Democrat Don Cox has the essential integrity to serve on the Beaufort County Commission ... as a Republican?

I obviously know that he does not - not as a real Republican - not on my county commission. I sincerely believe that I have well proven that I will tolerate Democrats, but only if they have a 'D' by their name. I will not tolerate those that have no principled thoughts, no real working knowledge, those that are thankful for the wisdom of Democrats over that of senior Republicans, and not the Sophistic Mr. Cox masquerading as a Democrat in a Republican skin. That is what RINOs do.

Don Cox says 'he won't embarrass you'. If you have, or will vote for him, or still have one of his signs in front of your house or business, he already has 'embarrassed you'. To be completely honest, you have well 'embarrassed' yourself. These are serious times all around, and if you believe Democrat Don Cox is fully capable of serving as a county commissioner, especially as a Republican, you are not a serious individual, and I will probably never be the guy you would vote for, and I could well understand that. Some folks just don't get how serious this all is, and just how serious the times are ahead ... I do. I always have.

Please know this one inescapable truth: I am that serious person, and I take the responsibility of representing my constituents most seriously. This job is not some joke like Don Cox makes it out to be, where those, like Mr. No-Show here, can't be held accountable in his campaign, and, somehow, he thinks that he could miraculously be transformed into a wise servant of a self-governed people, and accountable enough to serve as a functioning Beaufort County Commissioner.

Hopefully, there are enough serious adults here in Beaufort County to get me through the primary, and defeat the Sophistic Mr. Cox. Should Mr. Sophistry make it through this Republican primary to run in the general election, he will, understandably, be treated as a Democrat by me in my opinion pieces, and here in the pages of BCN by those other contributors that also detest political impostors that believe this is all some game to be played upon a simpleton's stage, while we serious folk do all the intellectual heavy lifting.

Understandably, I will not tolerate another RINO on this board of Beaufort County Commissioners. This is no veiled threat! This is my clarion call.

Remarkably, I may have just remembered this, and I'm not 100% sure on this, but I am almost certain that Commissioner Booth's interjection of the whole marijuana usage narrative, both times, in which Democrat Don Cox did so passionately embrace in his most recent 'hit piece', as his new found Democrat Strategy to win a Republican primary, did occur when Hood and I were kicking the other 4 Democrats political butts over the Southwest County Jail issue. The videocast of record may probably bear this out.

Since discovered Democrat Don Cox is ambivalent about the whole jail issue, as he is about all other county issues, save marijuana usage and Democrat Strategy, and most probably privately supports the Democrat position, I thought it might be proper to include the jail poll here below:

poll#49
Considering that Beaufort County may build a new jail /sheriff's office: What should be the best course?
7.51%   Build a modern jail/S.O. in the southwest corner of the county
43.3%   Build a modern jail/S.O. behind the courthouse in the county seat
49.2%   Do not build a jail/S.O. anywhere
746 total vote(s)     Voting has Ended!
