Potable water served by the Beaufort County Northside Water System (NC PWS ID # 04-07-035) in District I has been restored to full capacity.

News Release:

    Potable water served by the Beaufort County Northside Water System (NC PWS ID # 04-07-035) in District I has been restored to full capacity.

    Samples collected from multiple locations within the system have been analyzed by a State Certified Laboratory and found to be free of coliform bacteria.

    Based on these results and the continued presence of consistent pressure throughout the system, the SYSTEM PRESSURE ADVISORY is RESCINDED, effective immediately. Consumers are no longer required to boil water used for human consumption.

    Persons served by this system are urged to continue to manage their water usage and consumption, and report any leaks or problems to the Beaufort County Water Department.

The city council has only made two official acts as of February 16, 2026
While this afternoon’s update once again included increased probabilities of moderate to major impacts, it will likely be tomorrow before we receive specific accumulation details.
Government and its bureaucracy are not perfect, and never has been in this self-governed society, here at the local level, at our state level, and at our federal level, therefore, it is incumbent upon all elected politicians to seek a comfortable level of representation for our constituents.
Beaufort County is implementing a new emergency alert system. All residents are encouraged to sign up to receive alerts via phone and email.

Has the local government acted responsibly and transparently?
Beaufort County Commissioners meet, and work by a majority vote to do the business of those constituents they purport to represent.
Waste, fraud, abuse and incompetence continue to govern county school budgets and decision making.

However, if one believes that Beaufort County government is in full command of the issues of our times, here locally, one might need to steel their resolve for a more perfect understanding of the intellect possessed by the Center-Left /Left Coalition.
To borrow a big phrase from this salient plan originating at the federal level, under President Trump's watchful eye, whose time has finally arrived, even here in the mispent realm of Beaufort County government(s).
We must vet, and elect those who will actually represent the people or we will be stuck with the same mess we have now.
