Betty W. Hardee | Eastern NC Now

    Ms. Betty Lou Williams Hardee, age 78, a former resident of Beaufort County, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Pruitt Health Care Trent Facility of New Bern, NC.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Mike Register.

    Ms. Hardee was born April 15, 1936 in Beaufort County to the late Wilmer Leroy Williams and Carrie Ellen Pilley Williams. She attended Pinetown Elementary School, Bath High School and graduated from Maury High School. She was branch manager for First Citizens Bank of Hookerton and was resident manager for Wedgewood Arms of Greenville. Ms. Hardee was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in New Bern.

    Survivors include her daughter, Lori Hardee of New Bern, brother, Roger Williams and wife Freda of New Bern, sister, Sharon Williams Thompson and husband Jim of New Bern, sister in law, Lola Ward Williams of Pinetown and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Williams.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, December 12, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
