News Release:

WASHINGTON, D.C.     Today, Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-3) voted in favor of legislation that would create thousands of American jobs through the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. The Keystone XL Pipeline Act – H.R. 3 – would allow construction on the pipeline to begin without approval from President Obama or other members of the executive branch. The State Department asserted last year that the project will have no significant impact on the environment. H.R. 3 passed the House of Representatives with bipartisan support of 266 to 153 and will now move to the Senate for further consideration this month.

“President Obama’s refusal to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline cannot be rationally defended,” said Jones. “This legislation is about creating the thousands of jobs that the current administration has denied the American people. It is about growing the economy at a time when the country’s finances are suffering.”

The accepted practice in this Democratic Republic is: When you don't like the voting record of the incumbent, you might consider voting for the other guy. That is the guy that represents your voice.

Walter does not always represent my voice; however, I find I agree with Walter on all the issues you take issue with.

And one more more thing: The XL Pipeline going to the west coast is oil going to China, and will cost the taxpayer nothing. The pipeline connecting with the existing pipeline will cost the taxpayer very little. THis is not the publicly financed Democrat slush fund of the Solyndra scandal.

This is one NC constituent who is concerned with the immediate acts of Congress last week.
Fracking is foolish.
A pipeline over pristine lands to the Gulf makes no sense when a more direct route from Canada to the Pacific is shorter and wiser ~~~ and will cost us taxpayers far less money.
Solar is the wave of the future as well as wind and ocean tides, in my view.
I want you to represent the views of ALL in NC if you want a future representing us. You are most unwise to take your small majority vote as a mandate from a far more diverse state.

I WAS a supporter with a Conservative viewpoint. I am not a supporter of any one-sided and "no compromise" legislator. I expect you to show more intelligence in the future votes whatever they might be.

I don't always agree with Walter, but I do agree with him on energy policy, which the Democrats do have, and I do agree with the Impeachment of America's first State's first Affirmative Action president.

Laws have been broken, and until the administration organised stonewalling stops, we won't know to what extent, and who broke what.

Why should I be surprised ~~~ he led legislation to Frack NC and then the next to make it a felony to disclose the chemicals used in the process!!!

He had my vote UNTIL he made promises to Impeach the President . . .
