ENCNow
Municipal Elections' filing period in Beaufort County have been extended to July 20, 2011 due to lack of participation by candidates seeking municipal office. It is the hope of the Beaufort County Board of Elections that more candidates will file so that all seats open in this election will be filled, irrespective of whether that seat is challenged or not.

The corporate municipality of Belhaven will begin their filing period on July 25, 2011 at 12:00 pm and end at 12:00 pm on August 12, 2011. The election will be held on November 8, 2011 at all precinct polls within the city limits of the corporate municipalities electing officials.

Remember, complaining about government rings hollow in the ears of men of substance if you are unwilling to do something about it.
